Topic: Veep
Veep
From Armando Iannucci (The Thick of It) comes a look into American politics, revolving around former Senator Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) who finds being Vice President of the United States is nothing like she expected and everything everyone ever warned her about. I'll start with saying that Dreyfus is AMAZING. Watching every minute with her is just pleasure, love love love. As of everything, I like it. The others in the cast are also great (Tony Hale!) and I enjoy the writing and humor. It's now "laugh-out-loud" type, but it makes you smile and feel nice. Somehow. :D And le'ts not remember about the sister show of Veep, also made by Armando Iannucci, The Thick of It.

Re: Veep
This one was a rather pleasent surprise! Sure it's not laugh out loud funny (Although I did chuckle a bit at that what if Tom Hanks dies part ) but it's really pleasent thing to watch. For some reason I cannot help but to compare Selina Meyer to Leslie Knope, and I think Knope is my favourite hands down.

Re: Veep
Yeah if this show goes on like this its gonna work out well. Julia is a head above everyone else in every scene though, lets hope the rest of them step up their game. -Exo

Re: Veep
Anyone who likes this show should watch all episodes of "The Thick of It" followed by the movie "In The Loop". Malcolm Tucker has some of the best put-downs EVER and in my opinion it's much funnier than Veep.

Re: Veep
For me it's still not *quite* as good as The Thick Of It, but it's still great.

Re: Veep
I caught up with The Thick Of It, fantastic stuff, although personally I enjoy Veep much more. That said, more of Thick would be great.

Re: Veep
They came to Finland to shoot ep 205 but they didn't use Finnish actors to portray Finnish people so they sound American trying to sound German...
...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: Veep
I got done watching this last night. I was a bit unsure about first season that had some ups and downs in my eyes but it gets more stable with each season. It got many characters on it and they manage to make the most out of them. After watching House of Cards with Kevin Spacey I thought this gave another view of the people in power in the US. More silly and lighthearted.
