A normal season should start airing not long after easter, but from what I've heard, thats not true this season and is going to run across 2012 and 2013, which means either, bigger gaps between episodes or a much later start than previous, and more annoyingly this season will have less episodes than any previous season.
Hence, I don't watch it anymore... <moan>and this is what my TV License pays for, decent shows to be run into the ground in favor of shows about the decline of society encouraging further decline and then just as I think they can screw me no further, they nearly kill me with endless repeats.</moan>

Fred, I'm much rather be in the UK and pay a measly 90 pounds a year (from memory) than suffer through 20 minutes of commercials every 60 minute show.... I wish they would introduce it in Australia.

The first half (6 episodes) is airing in the autumn, with the new companion being introduced in the Christmas episode, then the rest of the season (8 episodes) will air in 2013 including a 50th anniversary episode.

There's benefits to UK way of doing shows with shows having to not work to please products, but with products placements and commercials you get more episodes

Don't speak positive about tv-license! It's insane that one have to pay for having the ability to watch a channel, and you have no option of not doing it!
It's exactly like if I made a homepage and then sent a bill to every single person who has an internet connection, since they can enter my homepage....

he can choose not to do this and not to use internet, or only pay for that much internet he thinks he needs.

But he can choose not to have TV and not pay the license. I don't own a TV nor do I pay for my license. It's pretty much the same thing to a degree.
