Topic: 2x10 - 18 Miles Out

Ooouuu........ definitly a boring one.

Going somewhere... leading nowhere... back to square one. At this pace, it's going to need 28 seasons to get somewhere.

I thought we were going to see a glimpse of the prison I heard about from the comic. Plouf!

Myka : You slept with her didn't you ?
Pete : Well... you... you told me to investigate ok ? So... she's unarmed.

How about reading the comics, hm? wink Just the first 12 issues, you'll be around the same moment as the tv show. AND you'll see how the story can be properly told.

... I failed... I cheated... ... I'm waiting for the damn 94 to be available for download.

But, doesn't mean I don't appreciate the show in general (as I already mentioned) but once in awhile, that kind of episodes where the minute 42 resolves into going back to minute 1 with absolutly no steps forward is just 40 minutes wasted. I usually appreciate the slow pace when something intelligent comes out of it but...

... not in this one. To think there's only 3 episodes left, they'll have to step on it big time.

Spoiler

Especially since the Governor has been casted for season 3. At this pace, they should've waited for season 5 or 6 to cast him. Or 7...

Re: 2x10 - 18 Miles Out

Yeah this was again a pointless episode. Good thing is though we didn't get to see Dale. Him and Lori are the 2 most annoying characters in the show. I don't know how the series creators have managed to pull it off but the "good" characters that we are supposed to root for, are the ones I hate the most. It feels like that the good guys let their emotions dictate their decisions while the "bad" guys (Shane and Andrea) think things more logically and in the point of survival. Lori is the worst in this sense. She is on a moral high horse and blames others and judges others while she is the one making the dumbest decisions.

It seems like the series takes certain themes from the comic and water and dumb it down somehow. Like this whole suicide thing in this episode. They really need to step it up a notch.

What I liked about the episode though was the talk of the upcoming winter and how they need to prepare for it. This is another promise of how things might get more interesting in the future. But then again that is the only thing this show does. Promise of more intriguing times and then always the next episode is a turd like this one.

Unfortunatly, I'm not having the same hope since if it follows the book, winter reduces the danger significantly. So there might be more "Days of our lives" drama babble.

Well in the comic book they struggled during the winter, it was cold and they were hungry, eating only canned food. But yeah I guess they will turn it to Days of our lives drama crap.

Well at least there were a few zombies on screen.
Highlight for me was the faceplant by that zombie climbing through the broken window wink

if they change the scenery once a season this would make sense

the question is .... will it be cheaper to stay at the farm or will it be cheaper to go to the prison (with a lot of indoor scenes)?
