If you printed out the numbers on a piece of paper and told a preschooler to complete the last one, do you honestly expect them to solve it in 10 minutes? If you say yes, let's actually test it. If a preschooler has no notion of symbols for numbers, how will they figure out the pattern? If they do, they will have no advantage. Preschoolers are not very patient with riddles.
