I have absolutly no expectations except that unlike many others, I'm fine with how it went so far because I take it as a slow character driven show with more time spent on how little moments define each character and how they react than a big bam boom pow pow dead zombies slugfest all over the place wich would bore me much more because it's too repetitive. There's a reason why I can't stand CSI: Miami - Horacio wakes up, oh no, a murder, Horacio solves the murder, Horacio put his sunglasses, Horacio goes to bed. 10 years of that, no thanks. (Even all his colleagues look bored).
Note that I didn't read the comic and probably won't until the final end of the entire show. Obviously they seems to have diverge from it and people are not happy about it. I don't have that problem.
I probably have the same problems about it that stated by the OP but since I don't expect a bloodbath every 5 minutes and care more about the atmosphere, the music and how they go as (almost) normal people, it's in my watchlist to stay.
Myka : You slept with her didn't you ?
Pete : Well... you... you told me to investigate ok ? So... she's unarmed.
