Topic: Jericho cancelled.... again
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/con … c91f04a4a1 "The March 25th episode of Jericho will be the series finale," CBS said in a statement. "Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more. We thank an engaged and spirited fan base for keeping the show alive this long, and an outstanding team of producers, cast and crew that went through creative hoops to deliver a compelling, high quality second season. We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try. We listened to our viewers, gave the series an opportunity to grow, and the producers put a great story on the screen. We're proud of everyone's efforts." DAMMIT

Re: Jericho cancelled.... again
yeah, has about as much sincerity as... well, there's fucking none... if cbs hoped to give the show a chance they would have thrown LOTS of advertising in there... really pushed the show... but instead we get this trite... as i posted on another forum in regards to this subject... "welcome to CBS... the new FOX in the henhouse"...

Re: Jericho cancelled.... again
There were enogh people watching it, but they were expecting more It's just a pile of crap TV shows keep degenerating. Many new shows started very witty with new inspiring ideas, but peaople don't like those. The viewers keep watching those Reality TV shows and simple scripted sitcoms. To see the future of TV or cinema I strongly suggest to everyone to watch Idiocracy. That film is exactly showing us what we are about to get

did you guys really expect it to get renewed this time around? I was cocksure that these 7 episodes would be all that we get.

Nope, I didn't expect it to get renewed this time, but that didn't stop me from hoping.

I saw this movie when it came out in 2006. It had very limited release (1 theater in Hollywood). I heard or read somewhere it was because FOX owned the the distribution rights and since the film had heavy criticism of the company they didn't support it. Anyway the movie does show where TV and society are headed and I truly recommend it. It sucks that Jericho is leaving us. I just hope we get some closure.

Re: Jericho cancelled.... again
this sucks. How many viewers does a tv station need. and does it really need real persons behind the tv. where i live in estonia shows usually do not come that fast. although they started to show Jericho quite fast. and now they are cancelling. it doesn't matter that i do download my episodes from then internet, i'm still a watcher of a show. and i know quite a few people living here in estonia who are watching Jericho.

Re: Jericho cancelled.... again
I'm actually just shocked CBS gave us that last few episodes. I'm also shocked that crap TV like most reality shows are able to air and fill our evenings like they are today. Few Drama's make it any more due to expense.. Remember Little House on the Prairy, The Waltons, these types of shows aren't very expensive to make and last forever.. Shows like Jericho, Lost, Heroes cost so much to make that if viewership isn't at like 15 million or higher they can't last.. Shame really. Just my 2 Cents. I am really getting sick of sitting down at the beginning of a season to watch a new show that everyone is talking about only to get screwed months later when it's cancelled with a poor endinf if any.. My time is too valuable. Ron

Re: Jericho cancelled.... again
They'll be clearing some room for more CSI crap in a different state. Shows like that need to be cancelled, seen one in one state you've basically seen em all. Although Jericho had lost its flame a tad, were most of the recent episodes have been boring except up untill the end of an episode. Shame really, it was worth a watch and did pass a good 45 -50 mins. The main killer was the time slot, why on earth they slotted it in against Idol I will never know, it was deemed certain failure at that point, when from stats of the phone voting on Idol (aprox on average 32 million phone votes) RIP Jericho was never given a proper 2nd chance

Re: Jericho cancelled.... again
I don't understand... have they actually not made any money on these seven episodes? What about all the nut people? Didn't they watch the episodes? I definitely liked the second season better than the first.. hate this kind of an ending to the show though.... (not the writers fault..)

Re: Jericho cancelled.... again
I think a lot of the nut people don't even get the opportunity to watch the show because I doubt that they're all living in the USA. Jericho's bad is that it has got a huuuuge internet fanbase, which doesn't really improve the TV ratings much.

Re: Jericho cancelled.... again
R.I.P. Jericho. You will be dearly missed. Watching the first season was worth it just for the chance to watch and appreciate these last 7 episodes. A great deal of improvement. At least I had the chance to work with the people from Jericho for one day, even if I didn't get to tell them how good their show was. Re: Jericho cancelled.... again
well guys dont for get , most people d/load the tv shows and watch it commercial free , Well i do , i hardly watch any tv for a long time, so thats why cbs expected more viewers, most people have to d/load it and watch it in there free time i guess and many other reasons, but its sad to see it go like this compare to other crappy tv shows thats going for years.
