Re: 2x06
...yeah, there is a distinct lack of drama...and with every scene taking place in the bright sunshiny countryside where there seem to be no walkers...it's hard to even feel like the world has even gone to hell...
...also, they should talk about the difference between walkers and lurkers. My wife was really annoyed that they didn't notice that zombie in the pharmacy. Heck, even if it was a lurker, that would have been an obvious catch...

ZzzzZzzzZzzz.......
dont like to complain about a show that have been one of my favorit shows before but this is so unbelievable boring! and the stuff that did happend was so unbelievable predictable... something exciting needs to happen fast...
Re: 2x06
I dunno what is worst, all the boring or all the stupid. Their situation have a ton of serious problems to deal with, it is neither the time or the place for arguing about non-essential stuff or have sex. Seriously, "i dunno if i am gonna say X to Y"....you could be dead within the next 20 minutes, 24/7. Spit it out whatever it is and get it over with. Stop wasting ammo and drive crappy vehicles that guzzles gas like that 70s mobile home or the chevy blazer thingie from the same era. You can literally choose ANY vehicle, picke the best ones and arm them. Also, find some really heavy duty work-vehicle and modify it into a zombie-plower. Use this on gathering-missions. Maybe a frontloader, a compactor. A huge truck. An armored transport? A tank would be ideal but those use way too much gas. This wierd compactor thingie would be good to crush zombies with, maybe to slow though on anything else than dirt:

Add cargo trailers to your cars. Find a better place to live. Something big, strategic and fortified. Maybe on the countryside, or maybe not. A farm surrounded by woods in every direction and random fences is probably the LEAST strategic place to be of all possible places. Something built like a prison would be good, surrounded by high walls and few entrances. Also a lot of space inside to stockpile supplies.
Remember the movie Mad Max, they had well thoughtout convoys for a post-apocalyptic world. Sure they had silly outfits, but the vehicles were mostly quite clever. They had a big tanker-truck filled with fuel, well armed. They had armed buses for people. Trucks and trailers for supplys. They had a couple of bigger armed heavy vehicles capable of attacking and crushing things, and they had a few small, speedy vehicles acting as SPAM. With a setup like that they would just drive through the zombies without having to fire a shot or touch them.
Kinda fun to think about things like that, but sure if it were real most of us would die within a week or a month. So what i am arguing is not more realism, rather just more fun. You could still have sticky situations, just not really unecessary ones.
Re: 2x06
If it were more realistic, it would never reach such epidemic proportions...I mean, it's not like there were hordes right at the start...people had to get bit to get infected...a couple of baseball bats and it wouldn't have spread down the street, let alone through the town, and the next town, and the next state, and the next country...
...the only way to infect enough people from the get-go would be via chemical warfare...but then, it still would be isolated to the places that were attacked...for it to spread so much so quickly(a few months while Rick was in a coma) is really impossible, unless everyone on the planet is as stupid and non-creative, and unprepared to deal with things as the writers of the show are.
...you can kill them with knives, rocks, bats, shelving units in a pharmacy, arrows, guns....heck, pretty much the whole world is an armory of weapons that are effective against zombies...
...and yeah, the vehicles...
...oh well, even if we had good writing, we still have so many crappy actors...
...best to start writing my own Zombie drama...easy, emotional, epic, exciting, engaging, etc.
...just needs a great title...

Zombiecore.
I want 1% of all the profit you will be making
Re: 2x06
How could the military lose and all that stuff?
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War
Bad tactics, underestimating the numbers, the endurance and the growth speed of zombies.
Re: 2x06
Budget cuts is the only way I can explain what's going on. During last episode I hoped I hadn't read the comics because it spoiled the episode for me now again I just didn't care. "Hi Rick! I cheated on you! With your BFF! While you were in coma!" "Mkay". I know it was meant to point out how horrible the Z-invasion has been but with all the sunshine and flowers outside we really don't get to see the harsh reality much.
As for the vehicles: If there was a zombie invasion IRL I guess I would choose an old car as well with as little electronic gadgets as possible, so it's easy to maintain. Dale driving his RV makes sense as he knows how to fix it.
I have moved this as my opening show on mondays so that Homeland and Hell on wheels wouldn't make it look even worse than it is.
Fisrst thing I would change in this series is that boney biatch from Prison Break. And now with the pregnancy she will be more of a focus point in the show.

Yeah, even though the first episode was also shot in the summer, they somehow did quite well a little grim light tricks, to enchance the mood. But after that? Sunshine state!
mclame, how about reading some more of them comics, eh?
Re: 2x06
At least it will look prettier than Sarah Wayne Callies who looks like a skinny female version of Skeletor.
if you'd have a wife her age that hot looking you'd sell your soul to any highest bidder dude.
i'm only saying about her body. her character should be eaten alive by zombies. spitted out, reanimated and eaten again.
Re: 2x06
She surely is in good condition for her age I'm not denying that. I just don't like the way her face looks that's all. And she wasn't that pretty in PB either. Just my opinion.
there is always the brown paper bag option
Re: 2x06
They could have a kindergartener draw more convincing facial expressions on the bag...it would be wonderful.

specialy in a country like the united states with one of the biggest military and perhapse the best armed population in the world
anyway after reading the comic till issue #41 i have to agree that the actors are just terrible casted
Re: 2x06
The walkers appearing out of thin air is also kind of funny. The rest is just filled with family values, love, friendship, and faith. Maybe except that mother who has not lifted a finger, beside pointing it, to find her own daughter.
