Re: Homeland (1x01 - 1x08)
You can't compare Life and Homeland because they are very different shows. But I do like Homeland quite a bit ... and not just because of the copious Morena Baccarin nudity

I actually think she wears the short hair better than the longer hair... And man, this show is SO good...

Very good show. The interrogation scene in the last ep was nicely done.

Huh, this show has somehow passed me by. Looks like it's worth checking out (although my watchlist is too full already).

+1 The end of episode 2 was just jaw-dropping.!

Wow, this TV show has depth.. ▼Spoiler I think Sgt. Brody is innocent of being a terrorist. That he converted to Islam is just meant to play on your average american's fear. Saul is suspicious, he is guilty of something, just how deep in it he is is unclear.

this show is realy intriguiing, at first i though it was the typical "show muslims in the worst possible light and feed the fear" kind of show, but i like it so far.

Yes, it'll prove to be quite opposite from that, I think. In fact, I think it already has, after this last episode.

Re: Homeland (1x01 - 1x08)
In ep 6, the house that those two - what's their name, the woman and that "terrorist" guy - went looks like the house in Jericho that was in the farm with the deaf girl...
...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?

Re: Homeland (1x01 - 1x08)
Just watched the pilot and it was intriguing. A mixture of several movies and Tv series, with elements of "the life of others", "brothers" and "sleeper cell". Definately gonna check out more.

Re: Homeland (1x01 - 1x08)
While I still enjoy the show the last episode had a definite 24 vibe to it - and that's not a good thing. I enjoyed the slow build-up even though it was clearly marked by its country of origin, but I fear the twists are becoming too 24-ish. ▼Spoiler I really hate that we now have the blonde terrorist and her husband on the run from the CIA and the terrorists. That felt horribly forced and cliched and I don't think there's any good place they can take it. They should have just died in that house.

No surprises in this episode IMO... ▼Spoiler I had a feeling almost from the start Brody wasn't guilty. Episode before this one pretty much confirmed it, and the current one, well... It well and truly confirms it

I think it deserves more than one episode, yes. But this is no "person of interest" type of show

▼Spoiler It doesn't necessarily confirm it. An obvious twist would be that they count him out now, when in reality, not one was turned, but two. Would also explain why he lied about beating him to death. Either that or he didn't know he survived. But nothing is certain yet.

Re: Homeland (1x01 - 1x08)
Wow, what a great episode. I am liking the story more and more, especially since they kept the 24-ish twists to a minimum. ▼Spoiler I am unbelievably grateful that they refrained from a 24-like twist of the blonde terrorist identifying Brody as the guy who came to the house to stand on the roof and opted for the more emotional punch of Carey missing out on a real connection. It would have been right of 24's playbook to have an episode where Brody gains her and our trust only to find out at the end that he was the terrorist's house. The emotional pay off was much greater and I prefer it. As for the two POWs turned theory - it makes sense, but it would be a really long con. I am more afraid of (again 24-ish) Walker taking Brody's family hostage and forcing him to help / carry out the attack. I think they spent enough time developing Brody's character that it would feel cheap to have him still be the terrorist. But we'll see, it is very well possible.
