Episode 3: Evidence is stolen from a lock-up. It contains a picture and a knife and the box says "Elias M". We never see who the man behind the hit, just the people he hired.
Episode 6: The woman in the picture is Marlene Elias and was killed in the early 70's. She was a cocktail waitress and had an affair and got a son with a mob boss ( La Cosa Nostra), Don Maretti. She wanted him to leave his wife for her. He got tired of her complaining and decided to have her killed. By a man named De Luca, at the same time the son is playing in the yard and finds his mother murdered.
In this episode, De Luca is found dead, by the very same knife stolen a couple of episode earlier. Looks like the son took his revenge.
The Detective (Sullivan?) who investigated the murder in 1973 comes down to the station and tells Det. Carter the story and about the kid, who now is the lead suspect.
At the end of the episode Sullivan is found dead by Det. Carter.
Episode 7 Someone is ordering hits on Russian mobsters, they don't know exatly who he is but they have a name - Elias. He also got a man inside the police force working for him.
Reese is protecting a witness from one of the shootings, a school teacher named Charlie (played by Enrico Colantoni).
In the end of the episode, we learn that this Charlie in fact is THE Elias. He been teaching in the neigherhood to get to learn the russians secrets and now he is planning to retake Brighton Beach, the area that once belonged to his father, Don Maretti.
