Topic: Charlie's Angels
Charlie's Angels
Twice upon a time, there were three little girls who went to the police academy. And now, ABC has decided, a new trio of cops should be turned into Charlie’s Angels — the network’s just ordered a pilot for an update of the ’70s hit. This go-’round, TVLine has learned, the show will be set in Miami and Bosley will be hot. (No offense to David Doyle.) Also of note: Leonard Goldberg, a producer on the original series, is on board, as is (behind the scenes) Drew Barrymore, who brought the crimefighters to the big screen. Overseeing the whole operation will be Smallville alumni Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

Re: Charlie's Angels
On the plus side, there is Minka Kelly. IMHO there's only a few TV stars hotter than her. On the negative side, however, there are Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. Smallville was nothing if not an exercise of taking a great idea (not theirs, btw. [0]) and running it into ground with horrible episodes and poor showrunning. So there's that. [0] Somebody, I forget their name, actually pitched WB on a "Young Batman" TV show, kind of following young Bruce Wayne around Gotham City before he decided to become Batman, a la the first hour of Batman Begins, but this was way before 2005. Their only stipulation was that the show would not be about teenage angst, high-school settings, and 25-year olds playing high school kids. Well, WB liked the idea, but wanted to go for the teeny-bopper audience, so they decided to pay this guy off - his name is still as executive producer on Smallville - and hired Alfred Gough and Miles Millar to revamp the idea with Superman and all the things the pitch tried to avoid. And thus Smallville was born ...

Two seasons out of ten? Kind of a shabby average, don't you think?

Who is the skank in the centre? And is that Lyla from Friday Night Lights? She looks a bit worse for wear too...

Re: Charlie's Angels
That's Rachael Taylor - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1592225/. Known mostly from Grey's Anatomy. And yes, the actress on the right is Minka Kelly from FNL.

I love it, crappy looking shows like this get going, while decent shows like Terminator and SG:U get the boot! Even V and FlashForward look better than this!

Re: Charlie's Angels
It's all about remakes of the remakes of the things that were good when the tv had no color It's a very bad year for tv shows - at least the new or crappy renewed shows won't last long until the earth goes haywire next year - it won't be armageddon it will be salvation

Yes but won't it also have some sort of female empowerment. Not that I'm saying this is a bad thing, but it's not necessarily the most attractive quality! *hides*
