And this: 6 2011-05-23 12:25:31 (edited by xrnzaaas 2011-05-23 12:28:15)Re: Dead Island(probably) first gameplay: looks nice (I'm getting a Far Cry 2 vibe here which was great) and it could be the first Techland game I'll like (both Call of Juarez games rather sucked) Re: Dead Islandxrnzaaas wrote:
awesome .... hopefully the PC won`t suck and the co-op mode will kick ass Re: Dead Island12 2011-09-07 11:16:23 (edited by xrnzaaas 2011-09-07 11:19:17)Re: Dead IslandUpdate works fine on my PC. AFAIK some people have problems with their saves (I started the game from the beginning to avoid them) and some graphical issues (no problems on my GTX 275). The game has some minor bugs (like a chest that's tied to a column or shitty rubber ball physics), but nothing major. Re: Dead IslandI think it is good when developers can take their time with a game so they can release the game they want to release and doesnt need to skip things or rush things cause the company who distribute the game is just after some quick money and doesnt care if the game is done as long as it will get some sells. I think the idea behind dead island is ground breaking. I especially like the happy sunshine theme at the beginning. Later in the game the storm takes over and it feels like it becomes like any other game though. I dont really see the point of trying to change the genre only to merge it into a stereotypical genre game. It is an amazing game though. Re: Dead Islandbugs or not (I have yet to see any) this is a really fun game! I usually find side missions in games tedious but I'm loving all missions in this game. Enough writing I gotta get back to my Machete Re: Dead IslandHomerS wrote:
Atleast they won't release a developer seed on Steam... xrnzaaas wrote:
Did you just name the three companies responsible for the best PC games ever ? Yes you did !! Orlando wrote:
LOL ! Word. Where the fuck is HL2: Episode 3 ? Half-Life 3 should have been out by now. I think they forgot when they started making TF2 hats. Re: Dead IslandI like the game, granted Im in NA so i got the awesome unfinished Dev version...and by awesome i mean glitchy and buggy as all hell...but I had fun with it. I did have two issues though, the fact if you had more than one monitors the game wouldnt work in the foreground, and i was unable to get back up the stairs after going down them. But other than those two issues I had lots of fun kicking and stabbing and hitting zombies. The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds given adequate vacuuming systems.
I'm not evil, I'm just virtue intolerant Re: Dead IslandIts after Friday and the game still is buggy, i was disconnecting while playing co-op every 2 mins after the first few hours. The inventory still sucks ass, it still equips alcohol whenever it wants to, still doesnt use the mouse-wheel to switch weapons...and a few other issues. The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds given adequate vacuuming systems.
I'm not evil, I'm just virtue intolerant Re: Dead IslandI still have fun playing the game...i finally didnt get disconnected every few mins and was able to play with a buddy for like 5 hours. Its a fun game, but the bugs (such has making me lose one of my weapons because I threw it at a glitched mob) irk me hardcore!!! The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds given adequate vacuuming systems.
I'm not evil, I'm just virtue intolerant Re: Dead IslandThe game is simply amazing. Zombie massacre never gets old (especially with self-made melee weapons and with vehicles ), side quests aren't just there to make the game longer (finding the teddy bear was fun ) and the island is very very beautiful (my favorite location would be the ligthouse). I still hate the interface (who thought that I would willingly want to hold alcohol in my hand if I accidently hold the F key??) and the weapon management system is not too realistic (why do I have to use money to repair guns since no one else is operating the workbenches??). Re: Dead IslandYeah you'd think scrap metal and spare parts would be enough to fix a weapon but apparently the island is full of those magic pay-per-fix benches... Money is useless on a zombie-infested island anyways. I would have loved to play the game if it wasn't such a blatant console port with crappy controls, console menu's and riddled with bugs. Re: Dead IslandUnfortunately shitty PC ports are a normal thing these days. Look what they did to Rage which came out today in the US - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mLuOtGwLnzQ Posts: 1 to 25 of 45Forums - Next Episode → Gaming → Dead Island |
