I'm in the middle of reading book two. So yeah, if you haven't read them, go do it now!

Re: This is unacceptable.
I have to comment on Orlandos rant that unfortunately George R.R. Martin writes so difficult books that many people won't be able to read it in english (i mean they won't grasp the concept), so i recommend first visit your local libary and see if it is translated into your language and then read it. If you like it, go to the bookstore and buy it.

I don't read fantasy novels. I prefer hard sci-fi.

I wouldn't call it a fantasy novel, more like with elements of fantasy.

Why would you read the books now? You'll just spoil yourself out of a decent fantasy plot Also, someone said that Martin writes "difficult books". Son, don't ever read Erikson if you find Martin "difficult"

I started on the first book, but I never really got into it... perhaps I will read them after I've seen the show... that is, after all, how I did it with Sword of Truth

Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

Re: This is unacceptable.
Tried reading it a few months a go, but got sidetracked by the Well of Echoes by Irvine. My hope is that I'll manage to complete book one within the next week, while I'm on the mountain in a cabin without electricity and water Haven't seen the first episode yet, but if I don't complete the book I'll watch it after the holidays.

I'm scared to ask but what books are you reading that you don't have to follow the storyline without losing track of what's going on? That's some soap opera shit you're poluting yourself with It's more of how old you feel and I'm feeling pretty fucking old lately

having read close to 10 000 different books during my life i can say that i have read a fair share of books that are quite easy to follow. better part of my childhood i read childrens books that did not have extreme twists and hard to follow plots. plus a ton of action books later when being bored in high school. about age, you are right. i'm with one leg in the grave already
