Glad you liked it.  Only one ep left!

You scared me there for a moment! big_smile This week 4x7 aired, and...

"The fourth and final season premiered on October 6, 2019, and will consist of 13 episodes."

Ah...  It shows only 9 here on NE...

2020.  Meh.

I had already forgotten some of the nuances since the season 3 finale, now the 4x1 beginning was even better! (And probably the most seamless TV show season-to-season continuation of all times! smile)

Ha, yeah, even while knowing this, it still caught me off-guard. I was waiting for the recap to end and for the 4x1 episode to start, and then it finally hit me after the lawn scene. It had already begun. tongue

4x4 wasn't one of the best episodes IMHO (not enough forward motion and too predictable), but Dominique 'Dom' DiPierro's dream! Damn! big_smile

And the ending - what a cliffhanger! smile

That episode almost felt like an admission by Sam that he had no idea where to go with this. That is until I watched 4x5. Only then did I realize 4x4 was the calm before the storm. Still, my least favorite episode so far this season. For those who haven't watched it yet, I recommend watching 4x4 in a cold dark room: makes what they're going through more relatable and cool — pun intended. wink

No dialogue in 4x5... Very clever, it can't be an easy thing to do, write an episode with no speaking.

The only other time I've seen this done with real style was the Buffy episode "Hush".

Yeah, 4x5 is my new favorite hush episode of all-time, and one of the best system penetration/heist episodes I've ever seen; a culmination of clever work done in prior episodes this season. Definitely the most intense episode I've seen so far this season, and I still have two more eps to watch before catching up with 4x9 this Sunday.

Spoiler

Darlene: "It's cool dude, we don't have to talk" (at the beginning of the episode)
Fernando: "It's time we talked" (at the very end of the episode)

Sam is a genius!! big_smile

Ok, I've finally watched 4x5. Very good episode! And one of their most suspenseful episodes. And an interesting use of xmas songs and text-based communication instead of talking. smile

Agreed. Minus the text-based communications, I couldn't help but loosely reminisce about Die Hard.

Elliot successfully running away from the cops was - while not entirely impossible (after all, they have to carry their heavy gear) - quite unlikely though, given that he's a nerd who's never seen doing any exercise. cool

Spoiler

Yeah, the perceived distance he covered at full tilt did seem a bit unrealistic, but I think the scenes were cleverly cut together for all of the non-New Yorkers out there to indulge. Besides, if you were facing the amount of prison time he was looking at if caught, not to mention ultimate death at the hands of the Deus Group, you would reach deep down into your reserve tank and haul ass like there is no tomorrow too.

smile I don't like to binge-watch, so a weekly delivery is perfect for me. cool

I finally decided to combine the two methods because it's been killing me to wait this long.

*Edit*

Actually, what I should've said is that I have three more episodes to watch before catching up to 4x9 this Sunday. Just finished 4x6 and all I have to say is, DAMN Elliot, that was cold but necessary... yikes

Re: Mr. Robot

DAMN, now that was a work of art. smile

And, perhaps the mother of all twists‽ Now, with the knowledge I now possess, I get to one day re-watch the entire series with a new set of eyes. Sam Esmail, I think I speak for all of the fans of this show by saying, thank you. Thank you for breaking the mold for just how good a TV show can be. It's been a wild ride...

Welcome back Elliot, and goodbye my friend.

I finished the show too. Yes, great show, just the very last episode was somehow less than I expected. It was okay though. smile
