Is there a way to export my shows to a spreadsheet (Excel etc) ?

Thank you!

Re: Export?

IIRC santah is working on an export option, I don't know specifics.

Re: Export?

Export feature awesome
Export .csv awesome*2
Juts don't make it premium

Re: Export?

What data specifically would you want exporting?

DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".

Re: Export?

I know you didn't ask me, but I would like to mostly export https://next-episode.net/track every now and then - the shows I'm tracking, the episodes not marked watched yet, and the "Shows you're not tracking".

Re: Export?

See, while I understand the need to backup your data, I think this would be the single use of this feature and it's not obvious, but data on Next Episode is backed up very rigorously:

- the hosting provider backs up the database and everything else on a daily basis
- I backup it up as well - manually, to an offline storage - on a weekly basis

So while exporting your stuff to back it up makes sense, you can see why it isn't really a priority feature and I don't think many people will actually take advantage of it ...

If there are other uses of this CSV export please let me know and we'll discuss it and possibly consider it!

Re: Export?

Csv can be used for those who want to migrate from next-epsoide to themoviesdb.com or simkl or other tracking platforms
Basically I prefer to keep my tracking on multiple sites as some of my friends or on other tracking website and it's easy for them to view my tracking info there.

themoviedb currently support this 6 CSV formats for import:
IMDb (v1) (v2), (v3),
Trakt (v1), (v2) ,
Simkl (v1)

As long as next-epsoide format is same as any of this other sites can import it, i also like to limit this once a month thus reducing Server load
This example also shows that how others exporting tracking website data looks like

We too can make import csv from other sites as themoviedb has done

I see... Well, over the years a few sites have vanished into thin air (along with my personal data), so I'll just save the Episodes and Watchlist page as html to have some sort of backup. smile

Oh I see, you want a specific .cvs export, not just to have one. Had you started with that - I wouldn't have assumed you only needed it for backup.

Good point.

Guys, I'm not against having .cvs export and if there is demand - it'll happen.

One of these days I'll probably code it.

I can't promise it won't be a Premium feature though.

As I explained on email, I'm on a vacation and can't do it right away, but I'll try to export it later today or tonight and will send it to your email!

Cheers!

Hi.
Can I add another voice to request csv export of all my episode data.
The main reason is that I have loads of old show data I kept; I would like to have that all in next-episode.
I am content to put it all in myself (I am not asking for some fancy csv import).
But if I am going to do that work, I want to know that I can get it out again in some sort of format (such as csv).
In case I want to move back to my old system (or next-episode stops :-( ).
I am happy for it to be premium :-)
(I am new, and have just bought)

Re: Export?

I need simple export.
I think I will have to stop using it very soon if there is no possibility that we will get export in the future.
What is the situation?
