I suppose we'll have to wait till 2023 to see that...oh well something to look forward to smile

Looks like the best guess for S2 is Feb 22.

See here

Again there are spoilers.

Re: Star Trek: Picard

OMG, Star Trek Picard SUCKS so much! I couldn't dream such bad writing, not even in my worst nightmares. This is such a badly written, badly acted creepy s**t show!
Luckily Amazon refused to pay a single penny for season 2 and CBS is not making any money with this show.
I hope they will cancel this abomination as soon as possible. I don't believe CBS will be able to afford a production of season 3 anyway and no other companies are stupid enough to continue this train wreck.

That's quite an... interesting first post! cool

I read that they didn't plan to produce more than two seasons anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And Patrick Stewart is 81 now, so who can blame him? smile

He can not need the money and I would think acting is not a 9to5 type of job. At the end of the day it is a job. I some times wonder how actors possibly dont approach or appreciate any show or film the way we do as they are like people working in a sweet shop. I found listening to a Stargirl podcast where the actors interviewed gave insights into what it is really like, informative

Re: Star Trek: Picard

2x01 was way better than I was expecting. Action, hard drama, and spaceships tickle my fancy.

Spoiler

Season previews looks like it's only gonna get better,, in an alter dimension..  muwaahahaha

I just finished watching 2x01 and yeah, I was positively surprised! smile Looked like it got a bigger budget.

Actually, season 3 is currently being filmed and is about to wrap. Patrick Stewart confirmed that it will be the last one.

Shame they cannot put that amount of money in to Discovery

Re: Star Trek: Picard

Are you allowed to call someone a troll these days? (In reference to a previous post in this thread).

First episode of this new series was awesome. If only 'The Expanse' could have had the same wow factor (and ok, perhaps the same budget).

awesome? Maybe the last 5 minutes or so. Otherwise was just setting things up since season 1. Dull but understandable

Ok, you're right, i'll re-phrase.... the first few minutes were awesome!

SevenOfNine is always worth a look though.

And my fav character of all time is back!

Re: Star Trek: Picard

Merc, please keep that type of tone down or away from here.

It's not very productive or on point and if anything - it can raise tensions (instead of provoking a good discussion).

I agree with you Merc, episode 201 = yawn/10.  So dull, so boring.

Spoiler

All that wine made Picard come off snobbish and elitist, instead of sophisticated and refined, and there was way too much emphasis on his failed and constipated relationshit.

@Santah, can you explain to me why you're moderating Merc?  If anything Duplicat should be moderated for abuse of sarcasm, or rewarded, either way, or moderated with a reward, ya, that's it, because the first 45 minutes of 201 was yawnnnnn, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz (sleep emoji) ....and then 52 minutes in....

Spoiler

Q shows up and an amazing season is completely spoiled in the 'coming up' on Picard, trailer...lolz!

inkblot, paisley1: merc's post is okay now, but wasn't before. I guess someone edited it but accidentally used the 'silent edit' option.

Re: Star Trek: Picard

Just a quick +1 to paisley1 !

And back to topic:

The 1. episode in S02 was much better than I anticipated, somehow it went by fast, and i dont remember anything but the last 5 minutes which was kinda awesome. I'm excited to see how they will F#¤% this up.

Spoiler

The Q episodes were my favourites in TNG. (Not so much in Voyager)

Off-topic response:  Was it some sort of personal attack?  If so, I was falsely accused over on the diversity forum by z1rra_1 (a member who never posts about TV btw) and nothing was said about it, and the post still stands, so, hopefully Merc's post was more egregious than maligning and falsely accusing a next-episode member of agreeing with beating minorities if they disagree with militant and extremist diversity politics.  What's the standard for next-episode? is what I'm getting at.  Only one side can malign the other?  I encourage all Administrators to be equitable and fair in your moderation, and I think I speak for a lot of users when I say that.

No, it wasn't a personal attack on forum members, but the removed part wasn't productive/ helpful/ useful/ on-topic/ etc.. Feel free to PM me the link to the z1rra post you mentioned, maybe it was just overlooked. We (administrators/ moderators) aren't paid, and on busy days I don't have the time to read every single post from start to finish.

Re: Star Trek: Picard

S2x02,,  really starting to ramp up the season story-line nicely. The plot is set up for some immediate betrayal.

Spoiler

The introduction of an irate "Q" didn't really come so much as a shocker,, as did the desolate "Borg Queen".
Freed of her constraints,, I get the feeling some mayhem is about to ensue.

What do you mean I never post about TV? I have several posts in this thread. Also a ton of posts on my old account which sadly got a little bit lost some years back. And even if this was true, what does me not posting much have anything to do with it?

Anyway, I'm a little suspicious about this season getting so layered (

Spoiler

time travel within an alternate timeline. Don't know if it should even be considered a spoiler at this point.

). Lots of potential for it to feel too rushed going forward.

Otherwise, it feels good so far and am hoping it will remain more interesting than Discovery which really fell off and I don't think I'll be finishing the 4th season of.

Re: Star Trek: Picard

is this going to turn into a humourless "The Voyage Home"?

Re: Star Trek: Picard

I really enjoyed 2x2! I don't mind time travel or parallel universes (or a combination)... as long as it's done well. And it is here IMHO. smile

Yes, I got the same feeling. smile

Re: Star Trek: Picard

Allison Pill is an amazing actress; her scene in the lab was so funny in 202. lol  203 was meh.

Spoiler

Did Seven come back to the 90's with Janeway, or was that pre-Seven with Kes?  Regardless, felt VERY similar to when Voyager went back to the 90's to hang out with Sarah Silverman, and I like that Seven feels at home with and likes 2024, but couldn't help but think, where's the temporal integrity commission agents and the USS Relativity?  They were all over Voyager and crew, and they're not here, so....Q got rid of them in the future?  This is a parallel universe where they don't exist?  They haven't messed with the timeline enough yet?  Dream?  Am I watching Newhart?  Is this Dallas season 9? /s Either way, they felt spuriously absent retcon-esque style.  lol
