The Rook is based on O'Malley's genre novel which introduces a strong female protagonist named Myfanwy Thomas with extraordinary powers who is employed by a mysterious British government agency responsible for defending the UK from supernatural threats.

News! The show didn't get renewed. I'm torn between being happy ("Thankfully not more drama!") and sad ("But the show had so much potential!").

I gave it a 7/10 rating.

I really liked this show!  While there are espionage, sci-fi and fantasy elements, its the mystery in the story that grabs me the most.  I was glued to it, excited to know what would happen next.  How it would unravel.

A little cerebral and very serious.  Not infused with an abundance of personal dramas, thankfully.

Recommended!

Read the book descriptions. Sounds like my kind of thing. I'll check out the show, too!
