'Mayans M.C.' is the next chapter in the 'Sons of Anarchy' saga. Set in a post-Jax Teller world, Ezekiel 'EZ' Reyes is fresh out of prison and a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter on the California/Mexico border. EZ, the gifted son of a proud Latino family and former golden boy, sees his quest for the American dream snuffed out by border violence. Faced with carving out a new identity for himself in his small town, EZ's need for vengeance drives him toward a life he never intended and can never escape.

Check it out here

I wasn't completely sold on this series in the beginning; it felt like a retread of Sons of Anarchy but with different characters in the same roles. However, the show quickly found its own path, and in the second half, it's becoming more prominent than SoA IMHO.

There are several narratives at play here, and the show can get over-complicated occasionally, but if your attention span allows it, things can get quite interesting by the second season. Mayans M.C.'s strengths lie in the twisty and complicated-but not particularly complex-world that also takes place in the post-Jax Teller world of SAMCRO. I think the showrunners are using the SoA universe in the best way possible to tell the best story possible. It's still too early to say that it's better than SoA was in its early seasons, but most agree it's certainly on its way there. I like this series and it's currently #1 in my weekly Tuesday lineup. smile

Yeah! Really loved the pilot episode. The friendly neighborhood SOA California in the middle of a gun fight gave me goosebumps! cool
Can't wait for the next episode and what this series will drop us (besides a lot of bodies of course).

Re: Mayans M.C.

Yeah, that was a nice shou tout to SAMCROW. Three years after Jax and so many other Sons died, the Charming chapter is still in business.

Re: Mayans M.C.

I believe that was SAM DINO chapter, not Charming.

Re: Mayans M.C.

I liked the way they brought the Sons of Anarchy in to help the Mayans M.C.

Yeah, Mayans M.C. is filling in quite nicely for me in the wake of SoA. big_smile
