Topic: Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) (Action, Crime, Mystery)
https://next-episode.net/la-casa-de-papel
Anyone else watched this show yet? Maybe the non Netflix viewers haven't seen this yet, i also nearly skipped it because i thought meh a spanish TV show but boy was i wrong, i even like the intro and outro music. Since i watch this show dubbed in german (which was dubbed very well btw) i can't say if it should be rather watched dubbed in english or spanish with english subtitles but go for the netflix version which seems to be cut a bit different than the original version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWv1iR3VCqQ

Re: Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) (Action, Crime, Mystery)
Bella ciao! Bella ciao! Bella ciao ciao ciao! If you are willing to suspend disbelief a little, it's a damn good show . I hate the series title in english tho. Money heist makes it sound like a pretty lame action movie. "La Casa de Papel" translates to House of Paper / Cards. But i guess Netflix didnt want confusion with netflix's show "House of Cards". I think more people would check it out if it had a not-so-lame title. Yes, the netflix version has been cut into more episodes. So when it was aired on spanish television it had episodes of 1 1/2 hours, which netflix has cut to 2 45 minutes episodes each. As far as i know, those are the only differences. I watched it in the original language (spanish) with english subtitles. We in the netherlands despise any form of dubbing (except for kids movies ).

Re: Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) (Action, Crime, Mystery)
I don't think it's a nation-specific thing, I think generally dubbed films or TV shows are always worse than just having subtitles. But having said that, sometimes I read the subtitles for an English TV show and have been done so badly, I could have done a better job.
2020. Meh.

Hijacking the subtitle thing, I watched 3% with the subtitles. A great show. I would prefer decent subs over dubbing.

I just finished season 1 and so far i really like it, i'd say it's even binge worthy, but i agree sometimes it's a bit much to believe. I don't mind watching dubbed shows, especially if they have dubbed it well with decent/"famous" voice actors, as i often do some sport activities next to the TV, which i couldnt do if i had to read subtitles aswell. But if the show is in english i usually watch it that language aswell.

Well, when i look at my neighbouring countries (germany, belgium, france etc.) they all seem to dub their films in the cinemas and all their shows on tv, while in my country everything gets subtitles (except kids shows). So it does differ from country to country. Ofcourse not all the residents of a country would love that dubbing is the norm . Lovsan wrote:Season 3 is coming, hopefully it doesn't take long
Really? Season 3? Why? The story is over. What possible good can come from this? Will it be an all-new cast & story?

La Casa de Papel has become the most viewed foreign series for Netflix, therefore it was predictable that they will order a new season, if that was a good decision we will see, but atleast i'm optimistic.

I was also hooked for the entire 2 seasons. Many other shows even tho they are good feel sometimes a bit like a chore to watch, especially if there are many episodes to catch up to. But for this show i actually wanted to continue watching and it dident feel like a chore at all. I can speak only for the german dubbed version but this was excellently done with great voices which fit their counterparts very well. So in case someone speaks native german, they can savely use the german dubbed version aswell.

I am currently on Season 1 Episode 9 and I'd say I'm hooked. I think it's a great show and I watch it in Espanol with English subtitles. I'm somewhat fluent in Spanish so it's good practice and a good way to immerse. I'll probably finish Season 2 next week...

Season 3 was not as good as Season 1 and 2 but still great. The creators are talented people for coming up with an unplanned but still exciting season 3.

Okay, so I finished Season 3. It was exactly as you described, still great but not what Season 1-2 storyline was. What I didn't expect was a Season 4. The way Season 3 ended, I cannot imagine that a Season 4 is not already written with its whole production already planned. I suppose I could research what's happening with a Season 4, but if anyone already knows, please feel free to share. Thanks n God Bless.

Ok um...so I didn't have too high of expectation for Season 4. I'm currently watching S04Ep06 and I must say there has been NO disappointment. It's right up there with seasons 1, 2, and the intensity is unreal. Again, I watch it with Eng subtitles and don't even realize they are not speaking English.... This series or the 'concept of their brand of thieves' has become somewhat of a phenomenon in Latin America. A special documentary on it has already been released. This show is awesome.

Re: Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) (Action, Crime, Mystery)
I usually don't watch these types of series, but I heard a lot about this one, so I gave it a try. I really liked first two seasons. Season 3 had its moments, but it seemed a little unnecessary, filmed just because the series became so popular. Season 2 ended quite fine and they should have left it like that. I started watching season 4, because I hoped it would be the last one, but when I found out that it was not going to be the case, I gave up after watching 2 or 3 episodes. I would definitely recommend the first two seasons. It's a really entertaining series.

I think it's because I actually didn't like season 3 much and (the beginning of) season 4 even less, so I wanted it to be over soon.

I know exactly what you mean, that's how I gave up watching Arrow.
