Topic: Season 10

Season 10 was mostly a waste of a season. Worst companions since the 2005 "revival/restart". Weak stories. If you haven't seen this season, watch the last 3 minutes of episode 12 that's all you really need. Condensing the season into a max 40 minute film, cut from pieces of this season's 12 episodes would have been better.

Spoiler

And the "conversion" of Missy toward "good" was an unnecessary story-line/arch. Also, the complete death of the Master/Missy was a mistake imho - i.e. Master eliminating his regeneration cycles by killing Missy. "Don't bother trying to regenerate. You got the full blast." http://players.brightcove.net/254007617 … 0196098001

Re: Season 10

Episode 12 wasn't so great and ending on bad can leave you with the bias that it was all bad.
Peter Capaldi is oddly my favorite doctor (haven's seen the ones before 2005), while I'd take any of the previous companions over Nardal and Bill. Yet again ep 11 was my favorite of the season and it was mostly Bill and "Razor".

Spoiler

On the Missy/Master part I agree kiling them was pretty sad , but maybe the actors weren't avaivable anymore so at least they gave us some ending, rather than just not having them in the show without any explanation. I'm pretty sure we will see the Master in some other forma again though

Re: Season 10

I have watched Dr Who since Pertwee (the 3rd Doctor) and I have loved the reboot, but this season has been pretty stale. I don't think Capaldi has been the problem, nor the companions. The writing just hasn't been up to scratch. Apart from "Heaven Sent", the stories have been fairly lame.

I'm hoping that a new Doctor and the new production team can resurrect the show.

It could have been me writing this.  But I don't share your optimism in your last line, I think the reboot went well for the first few seasons and then rapidly dropped off.  The sad truth is, I think it's time to call... erm, time for the Doctor (see what I did there?)

2020.  Meh.
