Topic: Season 6
It's back and with one of the best episodes in a while (601). For me it set the season up nicely ▼Spoiler So who sounded the horns? The three for me to choose from are the Wolves, Father Gabriel or Enid, although I am never right about these things so it's probably someone else? or maybe it's Ron to get back at Rick?

▼Spoiler Your not the only one that thinks that twd forums are rife with theories The talking dead didn't help as Steven didn't appear on the show and when a main character is written out they usually are on the show. The show tried to explain this away that we shouldn't read too much into this http://www.tv.com/shows/the-walking-dea … 587911246/

Although we're far from the comic book... ▼Spoiler He does die in the comic. And quite brutally I should say.

▼Spoiler Glenn was seen on the set of the second half of S6, so unless he will be seen in several flashback episodes, he might be still alive. But not sure if i like misleading the audience that way tho.

▼Spoiler If they do it the same as the comics, he will come back, but would die this season or next. Depending on who they make the wolves. To me they seem like the scavengers, but apparently there was a call for someone to play a character called Neegan, Who is part of a different crew.

It's been awhile I saw it and from I recall, the timeline is messed up between the two but from what I saw recently in some TWD news around, ▼Spoiler a key character that is there when it happens in the comic will soon be introduced in the show. - In the same images HomerS is talking about. So I doubt he is dead. At least for now. Zombie Camo ftw. They did an entire episode in the first season (or second) about it.

Re: Season 6
▼Spoiler I thought Glenn's death was one that kept with the spirit of the show really well...plays into a great psychological dynamic that's more believable than most of the others that they have attempted so far. Nobody knows if he's alive or dead...a guy who nobody ever expected to die...it's gonna shake Rick, and it'll make Maggie more interesting...and it will leave a big hole in the team. OTOH, a big character death like that, and it didn't happen at the end of the episode? and he was pretty conscious all the while he was being torn apart... ...I'd be choked to have been misled like that.

Re: Season 6
Episode 5 ▼Spoiler Are they just going to leave the Glenn story as it is and if he walks back to camp he miraculously survived the alley ? This week had some Alexandrian character development but I don't really care that much about them as much as the original gang Comic/Potential TV spoiler don't read if you haven't already read them!
▼Spoiler RE Negan so happy to finally be getting to this point in the comics and I know there are some that think Glenn survives because of this casting and how it goes in the comic book with Negan and the bat

Re: Season 6
▼Spoiler Well "Heads Up" was an excellent title choice for many reasons. One that ended weeks of Glenn-ticipation (nice trick with the camera angles btw ), and of course what happened towards the end of the ep with the watchtower, the wounded wolf that Morgan is hiding, and Ron trying to either spook or perhaps kill Carl. Oh, and dont think for a second that it's confirmed that all will end well with Glenn & Maggie. I've seen too many of these type of scenarios where the turnaround effect leaves us more compounded with grief and anger in the end. Afterall, it's TWD so maybe a Glenn & Maggie reunion will happen in the mid-season finale, but on the flipside any happiness may also be drained by this major walker invasion. Personally I thought that maybe they should've been trying to cut down the numbers by stabbing the zombies thru the gate one-by-one like back during the prison days.

▼Spoiler I do believe they will change the story a bit. And Ron is going to be the one to shoot Carl in the eye instead of his mother

▼Spoiler You could be right but I could've sworn it was Douglas Monroe, not Jessie, who accidentally shot Carl in the head, destroying his right eye and taking out a chunk of his face, after being overtaken by a bunch of walkers in volume 14 "No Way Out"? Plus I've always believed that Deanna is the tv counterpart to Douglas from the comics and her husband Reg was the tv counterpart to Regina, from the comics. So based on the gender switch between Douglas and Deanna it would seem as if Deanna would be the one to shoot Carl in the face?!? Then again, maybe not?!? Ron and his mom were devoured by walkers in the comic, and his mom died because she wouldn't let go of his hand while he was being eaten alive. He was the first child seen on panel being torn apart by walkers. There's no guarantee that the TV series will follow the same path and I too hope they switch it up a bit to keep the comic book fans off-balanced. LOL, That's why I love the television series because it's the same universe as it's comic series counterpart but in a different reality. Some events will equate while some will not, and some will either be expanded upon, severely condensed, or completely off base. Some characters are still alive, some aren't, some exist, and some were never created to begin with. Since we're well ahead in the comic series I find it fun to sit back and see what's going to occur on the television series week after week, with slight, moderate, and severe variations in mind. Half the time I'm wrong and half of the time I'm even more wrong. Katy wrote:Comic/Potential TV spoiler don't read if you haven't already read them!
▼Spoiler RE Negan so happy to finally be getting to this point in the comics and I know there are some that think Glenn survives because of this casting and how it goes in the comic book with Negan and the bat
▼Spoiler And if so it will be just about as gruesome, maybe even more, than how people thought he died in "Thank You". Good news is that Negan will bring more drama than The Governor for the television series. The TV series only scratched the surface into the sadistic mind of The Governor. Plus introducing Negan to the television series will surely bring along all the baggage associated with his past, in regards to The Saviors, Hilltop Colony and The Kingdom. TWD will be completely wrapped up by March and the season finale is a super-sized episode, which I believe will introduce us to the maniacal Negan. The smokestacks poking up over the trees is almost definitely a reference to the industrial Sanctuary that Negan and his Saviors call home.

Re: Season 6
WARNING: This post contains spoilers for The Walking Dead TV show AND comics. If you are not up to speed, then make like a walker and shamble on outta here!!! ▼Spoiler
Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead ended with a bang. Quite literally. (If you missed it, you can read our review right here.) But I’m not here to talk to you about my theory that Daryl is going to get an up close and personal tete-a-tete with Lucille on next week’s season finale. While I’m champing at the bit to meet Negan in all of his Jeffrey Dean Morgan-ly goodness, I’m even more excited by a tiny little plot thread that Scott Gimple and The Walking Dead writers dangled in front of us during last night’s episode. And this tiny little plot thread is a wink and a nod to savvy comic book readers who know exactly what it means for season seven. In “East,” we saw the survivors of Alexandria scattered to the winds. Daryl (Norman Reedus) went off in search of Dwight and the Saviors, hoping to exact vengeance for the death of Denise. Rosita (Christian Serratos), Michonne (Danai Gurira), and Glenn (Steven Yeun) all followed suit — only to wind up captured by the Saviors they sought in the first place. But they weren’t the only ones to come across mystery men armed to the teeth. While on the hunt for Carol (Melissa McBride), Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Morgan (Lennie James) come across an armored man hiding in a barn who claims to be looking for his horse. Going full-on Ricktatorship, Rick immediately raises his gun and tries to take the mystery man down. However, Morgan, ever the spoilsport when it comes to cold-blooded murder, pushes Rick, throwing off his aim. As a result, the armored stranger manages to escape.
In his haste to get the hell away from Rick, the stranger left behind a spear that is seemingly manufactured by the Hilltop’s blacksmith-in-residence. The same kind of spears and smithed weaponry that Negan and the Saviors have been using — at least that’s what Rick assumes. Morgan, however, thinks differently. “Maybe he’s from the Hilltop, maybe he’s from somewhere else,” Morgan said. Little did he know, but that’s exactly where his man is from — “somewhere else.” But where could that “somewhere else” be? Given his equipment, temperament, and the fact that he was looking for his horse, all signs point to him being a member of The Kingdom. Much like The Hilltop and Alexandria, The Kingdom is a community of survivors trying to eke out a living in this terrible world. And much like The Hilltop and Alexandria, they have a massive bone to pick with the Saviors.
Most importantly, The Kingdom is ruled by a dreadlocked former zookeeper named Ezekiel, who looks like an amalgam between Afrika Bambaataa and George Clinton. Ezekiel rules over the settlement as a king, enforcing his royal justice with a pet tiger named Shiva by his side. (I know, I know — another pet tiger in the post-apocalypse? When will it end?) The other residents — like the man seen in Sunday’s episode — don armor and serve their king as knights of the realm. And if our theory is correct, then the man seen in “East” is a breadcrumb leading to season seven’s introduction of The Kingdom. Hopefully that’s the case because judging by the previews for the upcoming episode, the survivors are going to need all the help they can get. Adding further credence to this theory is the fact that this season, moreso than others, has been hewing very closely to the comic book source material. (Making Carl’s head see-through, anyone?) As indicated by billboards from earlier this year, season six has roughly followed the “A Larger World” arc, as well as the “Something to Fear” arc from The Walking Dead comics. Logically, next season will follow “What Comes Next,” in which Rick, after being made to bend the knee to Negan and his men, must seek out Ezekiel’s help in order to put an end to the Saviors’ reign of terror.
Season seven will likely also include bits and pieces of the “March to War,” as well as the aptly titled “All Out War,” which sees Rick and the gang teaming up with the settlers from The Kingdom and The Hilltop to wage total war on Negan and his terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad Saviors. That being said, I wouldn’t be surprised to see all of next season be the build-up to “All Out War,” which would culminate in the inevitable eighth season, but only time will tell. It all depends on just how much ground they’re trying to cover and how quickly the TV show would like to close the gap between itself and the comic books. To put things in perspective, Negan made his debut in the horrifying issue #100, and the next issue of The Walking Dead will be #153, so there’s definitely plenty of ground to cover between now and then. In the meantime, we’ll be sitting on the roof of the Nerdist office, eating our body weight in roof pudding, and wildly speculating as to what we’ll see next week and next year. --Nerdist Most of us knew that it was just a matter of time before The Kingdom would enter the conversation. Ever since announcing that Negan would be introduced in season six, that told comic book fans that The Saviors, Hilltop Colony and The Kingdom would be an integral part of it too. I'm also not going to get into Last Day On Earth and the whole "who died", "who did Negan kill", "this was a horrible season finale", boo-hoo-hoo cliffhanger talk because it's comical at best. This was an excellent season finale that kept fans dangling on the hook ever since the RV doors opened with the maniacal Negan making his grand entrance showcasing his pearly whites. Yeah, it was time to start pissin' your pants from that very moment. So listen, for those of you who have the audacity to believe that you will somehow magically solve all of this by summers end, I GET IT but it won't happen. Don't waste your time trying to analyze any video footage towards the end, don't waste your time freeze framing any shots, don't bother closely listening to the audio during the black screen, slowing down the video ain't gonna get you anywhere fast anytime soon either, and you probably shouldn't waste your time trying to transcribe Negan's eenie-meenie-miney-mo song in coordination with the characters because that will leave you even more confused lol. And finally, don't drive yourself crazy this summer trying to figure out who died from any & all season seven on-set pics or footage you might run across on the web because IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!! Your best, and only, bet is to wait til the season seven premiere like it was all planned, and meant to be. What I did find very shocking is that hardly any one (and believe me I checked) mentioned the fact that the RV was no where in sight (in the background behind Negan) during the final seconds, shortly before going black, of when the person in question was getting their brains bashed in with Lucille. The camera momentarily goes low to the ground, back up again, and you can see that the RV is NOT behind Negan. No RV, no headlights, no people, just trees... That should tell you something, right...?
