Topic: Blindspot
Blindspot - A vast international plot explodes when a beautiful Jane Doe is discovered naked in Times Square, completely covered in mysterious, intricate tattoos with no memory of who she is or how she got there. But there's one tattoo that is impossible to miss: the name of FBI agent Kurt Weller, emblazoned across her back. "Jane," Agent Weller and the rest of the FBI quickly realize that each mark on her body is a crime to solve, leading them closer to the truth about her identity and the mysteries to be revealed.
The Blacklist + XIII = Blindspot. Pilot was ok, I like the main duo and the premise is ok even though it's not that original. The pilot could've used a bigger budget (one SUV crisis team?) and the storyline had a few silly moments ▼Spoiler oh noes they're going to blow up the Statue of Liberty again , but the rest was acceptable. I'll keep on my watchlist for now.

Re: Blindspot
I watched it, it was okay but not anything terribly original. Will keep watching it anyway until it disappoints. So, prediction: the detective falls in love with the girl who has his name tatooed on her butt (well, her back but close enough).

Re: Blindspot
Dropped it after 15 minutes, rubbish. This fall season seems like garbage overall.

Re: Blindspot
Well, it's certainly better than Stonebridge's new show The Player (not even gonna bother with creating a new topic for that one).

Re: Blindspot
Yeah this show was right on the edge of "should I bother making a topic for it or not". Maybe it will get better, maybe. Though at the end of the day this is yet another *cop and his special magic apprentice sidekick show*. Haven't we had like three of these in a row now? Minority Report + Limitless + Blindspot.

I laughed at him jumping from the roof and into a window and turned it off.

Dude, you've missed the funniest part. They copied ▼Spoiler PoI's Machine so that they can predict crimes I turned off the pilot soon after that.

Re: Blindspot
Anyway I think Limitless is the winner here. Blindspot is kind of dull, and Minority Report is just rough. No idea about the other show you two are slagging off.

Yep Limitless is ok, Blindspot and Minority Report are meh, judging from the pilots.

Same feeling over here. Feels like they don't make series like they used to be. Feels like a kitsch prison break gone wrong.

Another vote for no here. Haven't seen limitless yet but doesn't really grab me. Only good new show so far has been lucifer.

Re: Blindspot
I'm gonna give Blindspot and Limitless the 4 episode test this year, the pilots didn't grab me fully but see what the next three have to offer.

Re: Blindspot
I agree, there are several new shows that display some potential. Worth watching one than one ep before deciding.

Re: Blindspot
I think it was quite entertaining, nice pilot and a good 2. episode. Going to continue to watch it. Oh and I would say it's more like John Doe than any other shows you have mentioned.

Re: Blindspot
It came out in 2002, about the same time as Firefly. I recently rewatched an ep (the double size first one) and was impressed by the production values. John Doe made a similar impression even though it had no CGI, just good cast, scrips and direction. Like Firefly, John Doe would have done better on cable. The John Doe lead, Dominic Purcell, went on to do good work in Prison Break, Arrow and others.

Re: Blindspot
Another strong episode this week. Best new show for me this fall, granted I watched just a few but still, I love this.

ok, Lucifer i'm kinda scared to watch... The Sandman was one of those books that, much younger and more naive, really grabbed me by the collar and shook the absolute life out of everything i thought about the world around me. Morningstar was probably my favourite character (Sorry Merv, it was close though), i don't think i could cope if it's not "right"... big question here is: does Malekith make an appearance..? Katy wrote:I'm gonna give Blindspot and Limitless the 4 episode test this year, the pilots didn't grab me fully but see what the next three have to offer.
for me, Blindspot failed the 4ep test... i was totally digging the pilot till the "procedural" side kicked in, which kinda bummed me out, cos i kinda think J.Alexander does a pretty awesome job of being badass and vulnerable at the same time. the concept is reasonably sound, the cast is good, the writing is fine, but it really feels like there is something missing... oh, it's originality... how did Limitless fare..? admittedly i have no idea what it is, but my housemate-the-download-junkie had been consistently dumping eps on the NAS so i maybe assumed it might be worth my time...
i'm going to eat your brains and gain your memories...

Re: Blindspot
Finally getting around to starting this since it seems to be sticking around. First episode left a bad taste in my mouth just in general how they treat her for what seems to be no other reason but just to make it a more dramatic show and to make her seem 'dangerous'. Don't think I will last much longer.

They treat her as "dangerous" because of the agents name being tattooed on her back....

Re: Blindspot
I watch it if I'm in the mood. what gets me is the ridiculous South African accents that pop up when visiting their past! Some "saffers" with an Afrikaans background have a different accent due to the language originating from Dutch.. I was surprised when watching Timeless and Lucy's fiancee started talking. A familiar saffer accent! Turns out he is one :-) I have often been confused as an Aussie (sorry guys) or New Zealander when visiting the US or UK!

Re: Blindspot
This 5th season felt like a chore. It's good that this show has now ended. Perhaps they should've ended this after season 4.
...where did I put that rat's ass I could give?
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.
