Re: Fear the Walking Dead
So despite setting up quarantine and telling people that everything outside is dead the civilians are jogging, sunbathing, painting etc. instead of panicking? And the mom is risking everything for someone she doesn't know? o_O Also what's the point of doing a prequel show if you're just gonna skip a few (crucial) days ahead? At least the military guys aren't sitting on their asses and the commander is a cool dude. One of the few characters from the show I wouldn't want to die.

Re: Fear the Walking Dead
I just hope some zombies break though the holes in the fence she made. That family is like the absolute last people you'd want to be quarantined with, they'd always be running around doing dumb shit and thinking only about themselves in that very one instant.

What I said after the second ep. Have the other two, but can't bring myself to watch them.

Re: Fear the Walking Dead
Well there was that one guy panicking but ▼Spoiler he got taken away, because the army is up to shit behind the scenes. I'm guessing they're just trying to keep the weak away from the strong to preempt further trouble. The civilians of course don't see any members of their family as weak or trouble so are going to have a major issue with all this - I expect it will be the civilians who screw everything up and cause the second outbreak. This show is a slow burner, and more for thinking about things than anything, not everyone is going to like that :3 I find it interesting with how it exposes power systems coming into play during a real crisis event. I expect a lot more of that, which is awesome and goes beyond just the survival struggle thing.

I just find it insulting writing to make the father so dumb.
Myka : You slept with her didn't you ? Pete : Well... you... you told me to investigate ok ? So... she's unarmed.

At first, I accepted it as optimism. Chin up, think positive, trust the government, etc. It made me grind my teeth because we viewers have the advantage of knowing what's coming. Still, it's getting to be more of a willing blindness and that makes him stupid. The only character I've connected with and really like is Ruben Blades (the barbershop owner).

Re: Fear the Walking Dead
Yeah Daniel Salazar is my fav too. The guy has skills and knows what's going down. Also hoping Tobias makes a return.

That guy is a complete dick and is not handling things well at all. Even his men ▼Spoiler are going to turn on him. He needs to ease up on people, keep in mind he's dealing with wussy civilians, and let his guys sleep more than once every 50 hours. Most of them are milling about guarding people who don't need to be as closely guarded...the population would probably feel even safer if just five less guys with guns pointing in towards the fence AT them weren't there and instead were taking a nap... Stuff like this is where the military take things too far and end up butting heads with the population for no good reason, when they could at least try to get along and make a few concessions. Civilians scare easily, not everyone can handle war. Anyway...looks like we won't be seeing any more of him :3 Travis on the other hand needs to learn to kill, that was just pathetic. I would have taken the shot, then stamped one of those skulls on the side of my bag. "The Closer" seems interesting, though have to wonder how he got himself sent to the compound in the first place. Hope to see more of him. Looks like Daniel Salazar is capable of anything :3 Madison is pretty cold too. Both are going to be useful fighters. And turns out that Alicia and Chris are the kind of idiots that get drunk and trash perfectly good houses...derp. Last laugh is on them though - only a matter of time before those two end up sleeping together and regretting it forever. Just added the captive bolt pistol to my zombie survival kit. Easier close quarters fighting than swinging a club or stabbing. And the stadium full of zombies should be fun...why didn't they just drop a ton of grenades into it or something, instead of just chaining up the doors and walking away. Dumbest idea ever. ^divide the stadium by the size of that guy to get total number of zombies inside

Re: Fear the Walking Dead
I said he was cool, not that he was a good commander. Salazar has the best survival skills, no doubt. I'd also leave the daughter alive, because she's cute. The rest can die for all I care.

Re: Fear the Walking Dead
So after watching the season finale I've changed my mind about the Mexican guy... ▼Spoiler releasing thousands of zombies just to occupy the soldiers? jeez, what a selfish thing to do and a stupid one since the camp can be easily overrun if the zombies have like 50-1 advantage At least the second part of the episode was good (maybe even very good) and it teased what the season 2 will look like.

Re: Fear the Walking Dead
Seems like the ending of season 1 leaves us at the point of the beginning of the original series. People running for dear life... What's gonna happen in season 2 of FtWD or any season after that? TWD2.0? That won't work!!! So perhaps the producers are planning to bring us another 'the beginning story' from the perspective of a new group of people every season. Just a couple of episodes (like six in this first season) to start up new story lines for the 'real' series, introduce new characters to the original series, or just to get us warmed up for the start of a new season of TWD (worked for me this time around). FtWD will never be as exciting as TWD, but can be a great support act to the original series. Some shows have tried it with webisodes or some new age invention. FtWD might be to TWD what all those shows have been trying to accomplish. As long as the producers won't make it out to be more than it actually is, they have an actual shot at starting something that will actually work. For the first time... Or if you dislike TWD, it will probably keep on sucking in this spinoff. Why bother?

Not gonna happen. The producers of the show already confirmed that season 2 will begin ▼Spoiler on a boat/yacht we've seen at the end of ep6 Overall I think we're asking too much. Imo it's going to be exactly like TWD from now on (well, technically they'll start a few weeks earlier since Rick slept through the early stages of the apocalypse), but the story will be happening in other parts of the country. Question is will the characters evolve so that watching them do stupid things won't be too painful. PS. A FtWD web series has already started - it's about zombies on a plane. Haven't watched it yet.

Has anyone seen any of the specials that they have been airing over the past 2-3 weeks? Any good? Worth watching or just a waste of time?

▼Spoiler In episode 1 'Here to Help', Althea (Maggie Grace) discovered that a dead soldier was wearing a distinct symbol of three interlocking circles – the same symbol that was featured on the helicopter seen in The Walking Dead 9x05 when Rick was whisked away.

S05E02 ▼Spoiler The Walking Dead meets Chernobyl, a radioactive zombies is something new --- - I'm not the same man I was in Mexico - You do have a new haircut... --- "Don't mess with Texas"
So far a very good improvement over the previous soap opera
