Re: 4x10
This is without a doubt my favorite series currently on television. Some stellar writing, interesting plot twists, and fantastic acting already makes this series an all-time top contender and we haven't even reached the summit yet. What makes this series even more interesting to me is coming to the realization, during S03, is that Person of Interest could possibly be a backstory to The Terminator franchise, and there are many who feel the same way. Hell, even more evidence seemed to have come to light this season. John Reese could very well be the father of Kyle Reese, and John Connor's paternal grandfather.
Sound familiar?
There are just too many similarities and clues to be coincidence imo, and although it may never come to full circle as an official prequel doesn't make it any less interesting to me if it does indeed go in its own totally different direction. But man-o-man I can't help but get goosebumps placing this series at the very front of The Terminator franchise timeline.
Re: 4x10
Rights aside, there is nothing to prevent the POI writers from pursuing a story line that resembles Skynet. Before Terminator did it there was an even older movie (Colossus) that did it quite well. This is actually an old meme which POI is already exploring with the Samaritan angle. As others have noted, the main thing is good actors using good scripts.
Re: 4x10
Suasor, I did not know about Colossus, thanks for that bit of info and I will check it out when I get a chance. Also, like Orlando stated, it would be pretty cool if they did go in that direction without using any official names. Sort of like an officially unofficial prequel. They can be seen and compared to one another by the viewers and fans as one but the parties involved with POI will keep insisting to the very end that they're not.
Re: 4x10
yes i also like where it is going. It seems a dystopian or "world changing" event is the ultimate conclusion of POI. Which would be quite brave to do.
Agreed it is a amazing series. On par with X-Files, Fringe, Stargate. A eternal classic already, that asks the right questions, makes u think, is entertaining and fun at the same time.
Re: 4x10
just going to say. I like that on that list of shows the x files was your first choice.
