This show centers on Dr. Henry Morgan, New York City's star medical examiner. But what no one knows is Henry studies the dead for a reason - He is 200 years old. His investigative work with Detective Jo Martinez and relationship with best friend Abe will peel back the layers of Henry's colorful and long life.

Have to check out more episodes if it's a procedural show but i loved the pilot anyway. Sherlock Holmes meets mystery. Bring it on.

Re: Forever (2014)

Sherlock meets New Amsterdam without the "true love" clichè from New Amsterdam so I really liked the pilot.

Re: Forever (2014)

early days, but I recall New Amsterdam making a better first impression

Re: Forever (2014)

New Amsterdam lost its appeal to me when the plotline of the series was for the protagonist to find his true love in order to get retrieve his mortality.

I love the "don't care attitude" that is showed when Morgan jumps off the roof knowing it will do him no harm, the same was prevalent in New Amsterdam, I just hope Forever continues this line and don't focus too much on drama and more on the relationship between Morgan his immortal nemesis.

Re: Forever (2014)

It was ok but definitely wouldn't say I loved it.

My biggest issue is they just ignore the most obvious thing.....what happens to his corpse when he dies? Does it just magically vanish into thin air? His corpse obviously hasn't been found lying around NY multiple times so I guess it does.

I also predict his immortality is somehow linked to the watch.

My thoughts exactly. Also not just his body, what about his clothes? He was impaled on a rod lying in the cart, so when he vanished, he left behind his empty clothes lying on the floor. Also there was blood on it. Does his blood disappear as well? I know the whole immortality thing cannot be made into something that makes sense and we are just supposed to take a leap of faith with this one, but I think it's a tad too much.

Also when you take away the immortality gimmick you're left with an average Mentalist/Holmes/Castle/Lie to me/genius helps police procedural. No thanks, I've seen enough of these, I will get back on my Bojack Horseman marathon.

Yep it's a procedural show but a pretty entertaining one. Liked also the second episode and keep watching for now.

I hope not. Though you're probably right. I've been enjoying it, and it has the potential to get even better.
Seems ka is a day early with the release of new ep. As it's out today. (ep22 I mean)

Re: Forever (2014)

Really liked the show. Will be sad if (more likely when) it goes. At least it was some closure.

Re: Forever (2014)

Not a bad ending, if that's what it turns out to be.  John Noble didn't bring anything special to the episode though.

That's the second biggest X I've ever seen.

Re: Forever (2014)

The word is it won't be renewed, but nothing final yet.

Re: Forever (2014)

So, Forever has ended...  Is that irony?

That's the second biggest X I've ever seen.
