No, I'm sorry but it was a train wreck of a show; completely pointless and done just "because why not?" Re: The Flash (2014)Yeap, it's not looking good - https://whattowatchon.tv/the-flash-2014-tt3107288 DRM "manages access" in the same way that Prison "manages freedom".
http://xkcd.com/488/ Re: The Flash (2014)yeah I actually get annoyed at myself. I watch stuff that has just turned terrible and I never look forward to putting it on, but I started it, so my brain went let me stop till I see how it all ends "city morgue, you kill em, we chill em"

Oooh, I have a speed force cohort? I thought I was the only one watching things high speed. 57 2021-05-29 13:57:53 (edited by merc_1 2021-05-29 13:59:41)Re: The Flash (2014)CW should have used the Crisis on Infnite Earths to kill the lot of them off? Arrow/Flash/Supergirl/Blackligtning/ have i missed any/ leaving Stargirl which was quite cute & worth a couple of seasons Re: The Flash (2014)Legends, Batwoman, Supes/Lois. Stargirl was DCU and unfortunately is going to CW instead of HBO. I wasn't crazy about it but it improved as the season went on and was much better than the CW stuff. I'm hoping it doesn't change to fit their mold in S2. Supposedly Naomi is also on the way but idk how that'll work out when she barely has a presence yet in the comics. 59 2021-06-09 06:10:12 (edited by TheFizza 2021-06-10 08:29:41)Re: The Flash (2014)mrverene wrote:
Oh yeah, I watch a good amount of stuff at regular speed but some shows are just not that good (or were good and no longer are). Still... I like something about them, so I keep up while spending like half the time on Eps I would agree on your timing for the drop off of quality for The Flash though I'd argue the character of Nora West-Allen did breathe life into Season 5, making it almost as good as S1. I miss Xs I only watch The Flash, Black Lightening and now Superman & Lois (I gave up on the rest, even at higher speeds, long ago) so for me, I'm pretty sad to see BL get axed. I mean I could actually watch that show at normal speed... What's up at CW that they prefer to keep shows like Arrow and Flash on well past their prime while they cancel the best superhero show they've got then pass on great pitches like The Canaries, Wonder Girl and Painkiller?! Also was The Legion of Super-Heroes not even even discussed as a spin-off, after all their time on Supergirl?! And we never even got the good Valor costume! Re: The Flash (2014)I think the mayor would really love your ideas about redistributing wealth to all the folks at this pro football game who can't feed their families, now if you'll excuse us we need to go listen to the guy who gave up his teleporting powers complain about no more superspeed food deliveries. 61 2021-06-11 07:07:57 (edited by TheFizza 2021-06-11 07:08:56)Re: The Flash (2014)mrverene wrote:
Haha... Exactly! Oh and Ferris Air decided they wanted to give their stealth dirigible's test flight a bang ending... So, despite Americans almost never having used hydrogen in their dirigibles, Ferris decided to live on the wild side Re: The Flash (2014)Well there is that helium shortage...and it's been like 90 years since anything bad happened with a hydrogen blimp...and all of our aircraft failures mysteriously don't have fatalities...let's do it! Re: The Flash (2014)mrverene wrote:
Haha, I was thinking about that too... historically the US never used hydrogen in their zeppelins! 64 2021-10-25 03:30:59 (edited by TheFizza 2021-10-25 06:42:38)Re: The Flash (2014)I have to say as much as I kind only hate-watch The Flash, and at that I watch it at 1.5 speed, I still really am excited for this crossover. I felt Black Lightning to be the most consistently good CWDCU series and I was very disappointed that CW didn't pick up Green Arrow & The Canaries as I liked what I saw of them in the Crisis on Infinite Earths back in 2019. Despite what the CWDCU writes have done on The Flash of late I thought they did a great job with that '19 crossover and cannot wait to see what's in store for our intrepid cast of castoffs... perhaps we may even get another shot at those spinoffs or even some new recruits to the Legends of Tomorrow 65 2021-10-25 12:11:53 (edited by merc 2021-10-25 12:15:04)Re: The Flash (2014)TheFizza wrote:
sounds like an act of desperation. I just do not like any of these characters. esp Sentinel (Chyler Leigh) and her lesbian lover who is now also a super hero in a suit borrowed from Flash Gordon. Black Lightning? his show is over? Atom left legends long time ago so all has-beens or shouldn't-be's. Atleast Marvel had the sense to end its version of Arrowerse ( Avengers) DC should do the same. I do not think crossovers make any sense now. Quality has moved on with shows like Stargirl and the Lois and Superman show showing superior story telling 66 2021-10-28 04:16:34 (edited by TheFizza 2021-11-18 04:54:51)Re: The Flash (2014)merc wrote:
I mean it's what the CWDCU (or whatever you want to call it) does every year... so yes but like only because they always are desperate to keep viewers especially after the rating at the end of last season. merc wrote:
Well I gave up on Supergirl after the infamous "There's sunlight in the grass" scene, that being as it is I am always up for those Golden/Silver Age Comics vibes which these crossovers radiate. But that's just what I'm into with most of these Arrowerse series. That's why I still watch The Flash at all... Speaking of yeah I remember The Atom (Brandon Routh) leaving The Legends and all I want to know is, has he and Nora Darhk had any kids yet? What time period did they settle in, cause Nora is still pretty young in 2021, so did they move to the future ...and how is she doing with the Blue Fairy curse anyway? Hahaha... On top of all those possible silly little reasons to revisit characters like Black Lightning (Cress Williams), and hopefully a little Lighting & Thunder too, or Green Arrow/Mia Queen (Kat McNamara) even Xs/Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) is because I, and possibly the Powers That Be who produce the Arrowerse series, find a lot of fun and entertainment can be had with these CRISIS stories... well and money, for the PTB it's a lot with the making of the money too... of course. Anyways, I'm less concerned over who I don't like in the crossover or what the MacGuffin will be or how they'll get Jenga at the end of the story or even why the PTB decided to make this year's event take place only on The Flash and I'm more excited to check-in with my favorite forgotten characters while hoping that enough buzz might be generated to keep a couple of them on one of the current CWDCU series, in some fashion. Which might be a terrible reason to tune-in, from some folks POV but for me, a comic book fan first and an Arrowerse viewer second, it's all I really need ( ...Well, that and some BOO$TERGOLD pretty please ) However, I get you that it is weird to start off a season not reintroducing the status quo but a bunch of characters that probably won't be in the series... annnnd they've been pretty tightlipped about the rest of the season. This might mean that they have nothing of substance for us, sure, and with a lot more things coming out to HBOMAX from the DC universe going forward it seems as though the CWCDU might be waning I still have hope for this sunnier side to DCU TV... I for one am not watching the Arrowerse for the hardboiled action, that's for sure. So I do hope it is not over yet As for what the AVENGERS did in the MCU, I think it's a bit different and not just because of the nature of TV series versus movie and mini-series but because of the very nature of the source material from the MARVEL and DC Comics universes. That being said I think the CWDCU is evolving, as you mentioned Superman & Lois and Stargirl... which I believe are prime examples of that evolution (however they came to the CW). 67 2021-11-16 11:16:12 (edited by TheFizza 2021-11-16 11:17:34)Re: The Flash (2014)Soooo, I just finished re-watching the entire last season of Black Lighting and all of Mia's appearances in Arrow in anticipation of tonight's FLASH! I would've done the same for the Atom but I re-watched all of Legends like 3 times this year (though I did just get into it during Lockdown) Gosh, I miss BL! Re: The Flash (2014)Supergirl has gone ( good riddance) hopefully Flash is the next ( Atleast it did not go woke ) I never got the premise that being able to run fast was a super power. Able to run up walls even into the sky. give me a break. Re: The Flash (2014)You weren't expecting 38 minutes of a bad soap opera then ▼Spoiler ? Do you even Flash, bro? 72 2021-11-18 18:57:40 (edited by merc 2021-11-18 22:18:36)Re: The Flash (2014)nightcrow wrote:

I am at the point of not watching that show any more. Has her girl friend made an entrance? That was the final nail in the coffin for Supergirl borrowing costumes from Flash Gordon.
