Re: Flowers in the attic (2014)

Another remake of a classic book that will no doubt be a let down.

*sigh*

That's the second biggest X I've ever seen.

Re: Flowers in the attic (2014)

Flowers in the Attic was a good book when read in the early 80's, not sure how dated it would be now.

Really?  How unusual!

Re: Flowers in the attic (2014)

When I was a kid, maybe roughly 10 years old, me my brother and our cousin used to go to our uncles place to hang around, play monopoly and pool and do other random events. One day our uncle took us to a jumble sale and he pointed a trilogy of books and said I might enjoy it as I was already back then into horror. To this day I couldn't remember the name of the books. I knew the writer was Victoria something and it was about kids locked in an attic. I haven't actively tried to figure out what the books were called but sometimes the memories just pop up.

Fast forward to today and I click on this thread and watch the trailer and voila! Flowers in the attic was the book. So no matter if the movie turns out good or bad, I will check it for nostalgia reasons alone. Thanks Nivalis for solving a mystery of 20 years!

Virginia Andrews...  I think there are about 5 books, and there is also a film already of Flowers in the Attic which came out in 1987, 8 years after the book was published.

By all means see it, but in my experience remakes are generally very poor pointless imitations.  The Shining and Planet of the Apes, anyone?

That's the second biggest X I've ever seen.

Probably not

She looks about 15 so I agree, probably not.

Removed the offending posts.

They seemed to me a bit over the line as well, though this is an internet forum guys, so we probably shouldn't be as sensitive smile

My only question is - will Heather Graham have any nude scenes in this one? smile
