Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves.

"Hodor" could be the name of the Great Other. Bear with me. Hodors real name is Walder (no Known relation to the Freys), nobody knows why he only says "Hodor" all the time. Unless... we know Old Nan came to Winterfell as a wet nurse to a Brandon Stark. A Bran Stark, not our Bran, not Neds brother Bran (the "wild wolf" in the story of the Knight of the Laughing Tree (probably the she-wolf), but a Bran, sometimes Old Nan confuse them all, she is very old, and ought to have come there with Lord Brynden Rivers and Dunk before the tragedy at Summerhall, which means the Dark Sister could be resting below Winterfell as well, and when Bloodraven and Shiera/Nan talked, either through warged crows or weirwood.net, I believe they included the Great Other, either personally or just the name, and this is where young Walder see/hear about him and, of couse, literally loses his wits to become a damaged boy who can only repeat one word, the name that must not be said and even Mel is afraid to say, the name of the Great Other, Hodor. About his ancestryy we know he is extremely large, Osha swears he has giant blood in him, (Osha is very possibly Tormunds sister, she mentions that her brother laid with a giant etc) but we also know that Ser Dunkan the Lunkan's relatives (Brienne) are very large too and that he spent time in Winterfell, which is curious, the first option would make him part giant, and the second part Targaryen on his mothers side, so the question is which side he will choose if the mummers dragon turn out to be a Blackfyre?

Hi dear O., I'm quite fine actually, in Berlin at the moment, just... hanging out I guess. How are you?
Also, who would win in a fight, Jon Snow or Ramsay Snow? Snowbowl 2016 get hype!

Re: Randomness

PS, do you believe that Roose Bolton could be the SAME Lord Bolton through the ages? He is flaying people and we know blood magic can extend life, and that could be the true meaning of his name, i.e. a "Ruse" because his face is "Bolt-on" from various victims when he need to change identity?
He legitimized Ramsay because he has his eyes, because he's planning on stealing Ramsays face! Maybe he learned the technique from the Faceless men and they send No One to kill kim because frankly he's gone too far they feel and it will be just like FaceOff and in the end Arya with Ramsays face will marry Jayne posing as the real Arya and there will be many moments of awkwardness but in a good way. Jayne will reach the end of her story arc when she no longer call her Arya Horseface, because SHE is Arya, and she learns that it can be quite painful to be called names because the kids mock her because she froze her nose off when it was really cold and theon sacrificed himself on a weirwood for Jayne to live and arya to get his face. I mean, it's just how i think it will play out eventually.

Re: Randomness

I think it is more likely Arya will realise she is the most dangerous person in the world so she will call on the faceless men to take her out. That will be the best for everyone I think. That is if they can find someone good enough to be able to beat Arya.

Hm, yes, you have a point in that. She is dangerous, but as long as Needle is where it is, I think she's still redeemable. She's still on the morghulis part, and not so much the dohaeris. Arya has something else too, the biggest group of wolves in the Riverland, through Nymeria.

Possible spoiler TWOW:

Spoiler

Jayne Westerling will maybe be in the prologue of TWOW, and I bet Nymeria will attack the Lannister people last seen travelling to Casterly Rock, maybe we will even get a super special joined forces event if the brotherhood without banners show up too. Just think of the implications. They are now in the area where Howland Reed lives. Howland, Jaime, Lem Lemoncloak (Lonmouth) and LSH all in one place, if they started talking, the secret of the blue rose would surface pretty soon, Howland was there, and Lonmouth was Rhaegars squire. If there is some way to calm down someone whose heart has turned to stone, then learning about the promise is surely a good one from a narrative point of view, don't you think?

Most dangerous person in the world right now I would say is... Melly Sanders. Before it was Mance, if he had the true horn of joramun to wake giants from the earth, tormund will know more about this. But Mel is pretty cray and would do messed up things for Azor Ahai, I can see it in her eyes, if she think that the prince that was promised is in danger, she will set anyone on fire.
Also, pink fat mast == lightbringer.

Coolcoolcool. Do you watch anything good? I'm looking for something to watch with my neighbour.
I haven't watched tv in ages except for game of thrones.
Speaking of which...
Randomness about Game of Thrones, there's been a lot of casting for next season, mainly Dorne people, sand snakes and all, the son betrothed to myrcella, but afaik no one of the night and no krakens yet.
unless.. wouldn't it be awesome if D&D did their thing on the whole thing?

No, I don't have time to read that much books. One book takes me many months to read, few chapters per night maybe. And I've mostly been reading biographies lately.

And because of this trip I will have 11 days worth of shows to acquire and watch when I get home.

I understand, I also wish I had time to read more.
I will say though that I do not regret spending time on reading this, but also, it has ruined the show a little. Not because of spoilers, but because for example when we see the Brotherhood without Banners in the show it's like ok this is a group of bandits or robin hood types I guess? But after reading the books it's more like, this is freakin' runaway Beric of House Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr, that crazy warrior priest, they are awesome, together with a bunch of Stark men defending the weak in the Riverlands and doing what true knights should, and they give up Gendry to the Red Woman just like that?? She shouldn't even be there! Where is the ghost of High Heart?
It's not that it's different, but that it takes away a lot of the good parts that give depth. Imagine if Darth Vader was just some bad guy with a mask, and his background was never explained or even hinted at, that's how it feels to me to watch the show now. So it's both a curse and a blessing to read them. Also, the show will end before the books, so maybe it's better not to.

Re: Randomness

In the spirit of randomness, what is actually varys plan? he's backing dany, sending her barristan etc, but also they have the strawhat boy and john connor and his guys arriving? what's up with that? what if illyrio and varys had a fallout because illyrio did a switcheroo with his own son or something? strange.

Re: Randomness

OK, it's late and I'm tired, which luckily is a good time for theories!
Remember when Tormund talked about fucking a bear?
It was his way of telling people about his secret relationship with Maege Mormont.
Mormont of Bear Island... Jeors sister, in a place you wouldn't need to cross the wall to get to. It gets cold up there you know.
Let's see:
"Har!” He slapped his meaty thigh. “Would that I could find her again. She was fine to lay with, that bear. Never was a woman give me such a fight, nor such strong sons neither.”

and

“Maege is a hoary old snark, stubborn, short-tempered, and willful”

Consider this now, Tormund says "sons" specifically. Maege has only daughters, and they were born with long time gaps between them, could it be that Tormund took the sons to raise them north of the wall, while Maege took care of the girls? Considering Lyanna Mormont, they too have the fighting spirit.

Evidence: Alysane says that Mormont women can take the shape of Bears (literally skinchanging) and have bears as lovers at times.

Bonus, spoiler ADWD:

Spoiler

they might soon meet by accident big_smile it will be so romantic <3

Since people insist on mentioning spoilers from the chapters that been made official from the unpublished book I guess there is no longer okay to read game of thrones post on this website.

Come on, don't be so passive aggressive, if there's something that you feel should be in spoiler tags just say which and it can be fixed. Also, don't read sean beans interviews, he likes to confirm popular ideas about people.

I am sure you do those posts for a reason. I also do not see how anyone else giving away possible spoilers matter either. I think you posts things from the unpublished book to purposely ruin things for others. Saying that it is other peoples job to control your spoilers makes no sense at all because they then need to be spoiled before they could find it. I think you are well aware of that too. Trying to put the blame on those who read or respond to you (like calling people passive aggressive) just make you look bad.

If you want fun discussions then keep them on a level that is fitting for the venture. Otherwise you create an environment where no one can or want to be involved. It is counterproductive.

Since I feel you can not be trusted with the information you might have I will do my best to stay away from this part of the forum. If you feel like making a response you can find some other place to get the info to me.

Thank you for your consideration

ps. I have not read any interview with Sean Bean. I think you very well know that too since you have asked me stuff like that hundreds of times (figure of speech not actual number) and I always tell you that I do not and have not. It is possible that you do not put enough importance in my answers to remember but at some point hopefully you will.

That's a good one smile I can only think of Peter Dinklage at the moment, most actors are British or Welsh etc. I suppose since they film in Ireland and Crow-Asia mostly, that makes sense in a way, and also I've read somewhere that americans are still unconvinced that england is a real country, and associate english speech patterns with kings and magic and sorcery and frequent stabbings.
