The Blacklist

Raymond "Red" Reddington, one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives, surrenders in person at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. He claims that he and the FBI have the same interests: bringing down dangerous criminals and terrorists. Reddington will co-operate, but insists that he will speak only to Elizabeth Keen, a rookie FBI profiler. Keen questions Reddington's sudden interest in her, though he claims that Keen is very special.

After the FBI brings down a terrorist he provided information on, Reddington reveals that the terrorist is only just the first of many. In the last two decades, he's made a list of criminals and terrorists he believes the FBI cannot find because they did not know they exist and that they matter the most. Reddington calls it "The Blacklist".

Not bad for a first episode. It sounds a bit like "Luke, I am your father!" but... added to watchlist.

Hmm I'm not sure... Was quite interesting, but some things really annoyed me.

Only the new girl can figure out that the bad guy is planning revenge for his family? Because she can 'think like a criminal' ? Come on, that was just bad writing that whole scene with the evidence/photo board...

I give it until November sweeps until they reveal her being his daughter. Everyone sees it coming and unless they go random and make her his sister or something drawing it out would just feel weird.

I liked the pilot, so far its second on my list after Sleepy Hallow. Her stabbing him with the pen was interesting in that at least we know shes not going to be the straight and arrow good person that's rather annoying most of the time. I will be interested in seeing if the quality will hold up in future episodes.

the show itself was not boring, but i hate where tv shows nowadays have led.
if there is not enough violence, it's not worth airing. It always has to circle around terrorism. Somebody always has to know 110% about you, ands things even you do not know about yourself. And of course they never reveal how they know it, and why they know it. And even what they know about you. And the most annoying is that if there are not gazillion small "twists and plots" in every episode it's pointless.
I know that you know that i know that you know that i know....sheesh....

watched episode 2. i do not know. still a weird show. it's not boring, but something is irritating me about it. can't put my finger on it. i'll give it few more episodes.

So far the two shows picked up deserve it. This and Sleepy Hallow are the best new shows of Fall.

Based on the first 2 episodes (granted it's just 2 episodes), I like that they will do a full 22 episode season. However, I would been skeptical if they would have done a full season 1 + season 2 order right now..

Have to say the best thing about this show is that he actual kills people. That his character isn't morale good in some way, like he can be redeem for his actions. I like that he is the bad guy and there not trying to make you sympathetic towards him.

A classic chaotic evil. Or maybe he's trying to get enough alignment points for Chaotic Neutral.

i'm still with this show in "i do not know" stadium. there is a documentary here in estonia called "Criminal Russia" and it's same shit, but without the painfully boring relationship crap.

The relationship thing is probably the best done one out of the many shows on. Its there but feels way more like a back burner thing than a front and center story.

Blacklist is becoming my fav this autumn. Its a bit cliched but fascinating.

So they just going to kill everyone and restart from scratch? I'm in kind of disbelief they went and killed at least one maybe two of Reds team. I'm liking that the shows is going there so soon with its storyline and not getting into a predictable pattern. Hope the two part conclusion carries the hype this one did and is not a let down like most two parters are.

I seem to remember the The Blacklist got a back-end renewal to make it a full 22 episode season. So, I'm guessing the 2-parter is for the winter break and it will start back up in Jan/Feb(?)

I know they both got shot, but I didn't see right to the credits. Was there any more story development after the black guy gets shot?
