in 2005 series he will be the oldest yes and i like the idea of older doctor and i haven't seen that actor in anything yet, so it will be interesting.

Wait....wasn't it supposed to be John Hurt??? He was already in the freakin finale of last series....


and this guy, I don't know him from anything but the video linked by penguin makes him look all kinds of creepy lol...I thought the monsters were suppoed to scare the kids, not the doctor  lol

There was some talk about the Doctor that was not allowed to be called the doctor anymore. The Doctor that did something so horrible and undoctorlike that all the other doctor incarnations dont like him. That would be John Hurt i believe. That doctor came before the three 2005 doctors.

That is how i understood it

Not excited at all by this. I don't get the appeal of an older Doctor. It could all work out, but right now I'm just indifferent.

I'm old school, and have always thought The Doctor should be older than he has been in > 2005 so far. 

I think Capaldi will be great.  And let's face it, if he's not, in a year or two we'll go through all this again.
