Re: Sleepy Hollow

The short story is a bore and not really about the Headless Horseman, so not really waiting for it.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

The actor who plays Ichabod is the best thing about the show.

Agreed...

Re: Sleepy Hollow

This show is great. Have to say its the best new show this fall with The Blacklist coming in second. It's just campy enough to work.

I agree.. The only thing that bothers me is, Ichabod has been in this century for how long? And he hasn't changed clothes yet?

Exactly my thoughts!!!

And... How does Death see without head? and hear? He heard Abby in the tunnels. He seems to hear and see just fine... and yet has a terrible aim with weapons...

That actually doesn't bother me. I chuck it up to "magic/mysticism/dark side of the force" big_smile

That I put under 'suspension of disbelief'.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

Magical critters play by different rules. It's like the old SF trope of the beheaded robot pointing out that its brain is in his armored chest and all its sensors have backups.

How do zombies ingest human brains and how they poop? How come a barrier always successfully prevents a vampire from entering someone's home and knows when a vampire has been invited? How in hell do all alien creatures speak perfect English?

Re: Sleepy Hollow

Yes yes, I know. In this case however it bothers me... Not the fact that he can hear and see without his head but that he is fast, precise and nimble in one moment and then clumsy, slow and stupid a minute later... It is a bit lazy to give a supernatural character amazing powers and then show how he cannot keep up with mere mortals. Yes, it isn't uncommon on TV but in this show it bothers me from the start, from the first episode. I want to like this show and I liked episodes without headless horseman but when he appears I start nitpicking... I don't know why.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

I've watched the first couple of episodes and whilst it's ok, it hasn't really grabbed me. Does it get any better or more interesting?

18

Re: Sleepy Hollow

Yes, it gets better as it goes along, at least it did for me and, according to the ratings, for many others.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

great thankyou

Re: Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow is set to get more episodes this fall, with EW reporting that the series will get  "at least 15 episodes" with  "a potential total of 18 episodes".

Re: Sleepy Hollow

Hope more episodes doesn't mean less quality. I liked it was short and to the point this fall.

Re: Sleepy Hollow

Yeah, filler sps tend to be no fun at all.
