Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and gods, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the gods themselves. Re: Poll relationship vs science nerdsscience - nerds is no doubt the winner - allthough some relationships episode has been very good they are far between. Sheldon and Amy still funny at times though. They Call Me The "Jax Lovah!" Machine!

Thanks, i think i have seen some Dharma & Greg episodes back then but don't remember if i liked them. Re: Poll relationship vs science nerdsI think some relationship stuff is required. The title of the show does propose, tongue-in-cheekily, that 'banging' is probably going to be one of the fundamental objectives of the show. I think Sheldon's assistant would make for a far more entertaining counterpart to Leonard actually...best of both worlds...a relationship to develop plots around, made of two different styled nerds--it'd basically be a repeat of what makes Leonard and Sheldon's relationship entertaining, only it'd be prettier. -Rob Re: Poll relationship vs science nerdsTBBT is what the public thinks nerds are, Community is how nerds really are. At least that's how I have always saw the two shows. I've said this many times on this forum but the show went downhill after it added the two females to the cast. Howard dating what is essentially his mother and a character with all the annoying qualities of Sheldon with none of the humor do not make for good TV. Although I haven't liked a single show produced by Chuck Lorre so that might have something to do with it. (I did enjoy Rosenne but the later season's after the guy left) tl:dr Science stuff 13 2014-09-22 16:48:44 (edited by ProphetZarquon 2014-09-22 16:50:29)Re: Poll relationship vs science nerdsCommunity has never made me laugh even once. I feel that there is an over abundance of shows where people being unpleasant or idiotic forms the bulk of the comedic effort. I get enough idiocy in real life, so maybe that's why I don't like shows like The Office (either version). I liked Dharma & Greg as a kid, but it seems much less amusing now, like trying to re-watch 3rd Rock From The Sun. In contrast, News Radio remains amusing. I think my adolescent self mostly enjoyed Jenna Elfman's tall leggy blonde cheerfulness when Dharma & Greg was originally on the air. Big Bang Theory is still on my short-list of shows to watch, but the science jokes have all but disappeared ever since the viewing audience exploded in size. I'd like to see more science jokes versus geeky referential gags. The relationship aspect is tolerable to me, except when it strays from relationship humor, into relationship drama. Again, I get enough drama in my own life, I don't generally enjoy watching it on TV. The only recent dramatic series I've enjoyed was Halt & Catch Fire, though mostly for the genuine old school tech exhibited on that show. I used / own some of those machines! 14 2014-09-23 08:31:22 (edited by ProphetZarquon 2014-09-23 08:33:30)Re: Poll relationship vs science nerdsRegarding geeky referential gags: Posts: 14Forums - Next Episode → The Big Bang Theory → Poll relationship vs science nerds |
