Thx for the good news. I have to read the Under the Dome before it airs, because I'm ashamed I don't know it yet. smile

Re: 26/01/13 - TV News Monthly Review #62 - The Shelf Life

I'm quite surprised that Partners was canceled. I saw only a few eps, but figured the show would be well received since the chemistry between the 2 leads was great, and the gay lead was actually quite hilarious.

Well it has only one star of popularity here...That means not a lot of people have it on their watchlist.

Re: 26/01/13 - TV News Monthly Review #62 - The Shelf Life

Orlando, I don't think it was for everyone...I'm just surprised that more people didn't like it.
The female lead was probably the worst part of the whole show...but the gay lead guy was really sharp and quick witted...a great archetypal exaggeration.

Reflecting further on it, he'd have probably gotten old-hat pretty fast...but for at least a few episodes, he did have the exaggerated quirkiness of a Sheldon Cooper, although channeled through a gay sensationalist rather than a socially retarded physicist.

No more Alphas?  sad

Re: 26/01/13 - TV News Monthly Review #62 - The Shelf Life

Yeah, even on cable it's hard to keep SF shows going. The problem was declining ratings. It started the first season with 2.5 million, but that declined. It was going to be cancelled but was kept for a second season because there was nothing to replace it and there was hope the writers could make it better. That didn't happen. Second season opened with 1.7 million, got a little better when Summer Glau appeared in an episode, but the ratings were not growing. Better scripts could have saved it, but better writers are expensive.

'Do No Harm' has been cancelled after only two episodes

http://tvline.com/2013/02/08/do-no-harm-cancelled-nbc/

Re: 26/01/13 - TV News Monthly Review #62 - The Shelf Life

So the main character in "Do No Harm" was also the main actor in the Tv movie "Over/Under", so two roles at the same time, was probably to much and bad luck for him.

I'm not sad it's gone but i would have continued watching it, if it would have stayed.
