Topic: CW Orders Backdoor Pilot for 'Vampire Diaries' Spinoff The Originals

The CW has decided to move forward with a backdoor pilot for a Vampire Diaries spinoff that could expand the franchise into two separate series next year. Currently titled The Originals, the backdoor pilot will air as part of the current season of The Vampire Diaries on April 25. The story will center around the original vampire family and stars Joseph Morgan as Klaus and Phoebe Tonkin.

So I thought Klaus was hated on the show but it seems fans like him when did the switch from hating him to loving him happen? Also the show has gone no where this season yet they somehow think theirs enough to tell for two shows.

Only way a spin-off would work would be if it was about Kat, but you can't clone Nina and they won't kill off Elena so I don't know. I do miss Elijah though would be nice to see him more...assuming he's a part of this show or else a show just with Klaus I don't see working. He's not Angel he can't carry a show.
