With its antalogy format, each episode has a different cast, a different setting, even a different reality. But they're all about the way we live now – and the way we might be living in 10 minutes' time if we're clumsy. An Endemol press release describes the series as "a hybrid of The Twilight Zone and Tales of the Unexpected which taps into our contemporary unease about our modern world", with the stories having a "techno-paranoia" feel.

Charlie Brooker explained the series' title to The Guardian, noting: "If technology is a drug – and it does feel like a drug – then what, precisely, are the side-effects? This area – between delight and discomfort – is where Black Mirror, my new drama series, is set. The "black mirror" of the title is the one you'll find on every wall, on every desk, in the palm of every hand: the cold, shiny screen of a TV, a monitor, a smartphone."

1x01 is a political thriller, which holds your attetion from the very start and keeps you in awe until the very end.
1x02 is a sci-fi vision of the future, where nothing is real, with people living on, like drones, going nowhere. The best from the lot and one of the best episodes of anything every created.
1x03 is a alternate reality/future where every memory is stored, proccesed and it's available for you at any given time of the day. Although it sounds promising, there's more dark to it than light.

Since I adore this series, Godzi just watched and I know that Sweetie Pai also really likes it, I thought it would be best to have a seperate topic about this show. 'Specially, that there will be a second series.

Re: Black Mirror

Really interesting series.

The first episode, I was just like WTF!

The Second and Third are fantastic and scary at the same time.

Really worth watching.

Re: Black Mirror

Yea I have to agree.
It's been a while since I watched them but it's still the best British TV I've watched in a long time.

Re: Black Mirror

I agree, awesome show. All three episodes are nice. Best thing I watched in awhile.

Many didn't like the second episode and there's a few decent reasons for it (too slow for example) but I liked them all.

Myka : You slept with her didn't you ?
Pete : Well... you... you told me to investigate ok ? So... she's unarmed.

Re: Black Mirror

Actually, for what I've seen, the third episode gets the most hate and critique, which it should get.

Re: Black Mirror

Weird how people are just discovering Black Mirror, but good nonetheless.  I'm quite a fan of a lot of Charlie Brooker's stuff.  He tells it like it is.  Or like how I feel about most topical stuff, anyway.

You’ve got to help me! I’m a victim of society!

Re: Black Mirror

It is strange, it's been out for a year, yet I've never heard of it.  As far as I can remember, it wasn't advertised on the channel.

Re: Black Mirror

Saw the first episode thought it was interesting while disturbing. I really liked the second episode but only made it to part one of the third episode before getting bored having figured out how it was going to end already.

Re: Black Mirror

Premise: What if we could stay in touch with the dead via their social media profiles?

Episode two: The Waldo Moment

Cast: Daniel Rigby, Jason Flemyng, Tobias Menzies.

Premise: Could a kids’ TV show mascot, introduced into a political race as a stunt, muster the popular support to win?

Episode three: White Bear

Cast: Lenora Crichlow, Tuppence Middleton, Ian Bonar

Premise: How has the majority of the population been quelled into a state of mindless voyeurism? And can our protagonist stop the people responsible?
