Re: Elementary

I thought this was one of there best episodes yet. Thursday night was a good night for shows most of the ones I watch were top notch.

Re: Elementary

As long as what I said is understandable, you won't find me going out of my way to fix any grammar mistakes. I graduated school a long time ago and if that shit didn't get hammered in then it won't now. I know the differences but I really don't care when it's a quick five second comment on a forum.

I mean I really don't get the purpose of pointing that out, if your just trying to be a smart ass or what, but for me specifically it just piss's me off. I excelled in ever subject in school aside from Language Arts. My brain doesn't process language as well as other people.

I know I'm over reacting a bit. A lot of which has to do with lack of sleep, which is my fault and all. It's just I don't come to a forum to discuss topics of television plots and idea with other people to have the point of focus be on whether or not the grammatically form of there was used correctly.

Unless someone has OCD or some superiority complex that compels them to be an ass I rather the focus be on what I say rather then how I said it. Also I apologize for myself being an ass on this subject. It is just something that is a touchy subject for me and my biggest pet peeve about the internet when people nitpick at the smallest things and honest mistakes since in no way does it benefit anyone in a positive way.

Re: Elementary

smile You don't like when someone points it out, I don't like common mistakes like you're/your and there/their/they're.

But as you wish:
Maybe not one of the best, but E. is obviously on a winning streak in creative direction and character development.

Re: Elementary

To my own disbelief, I now think I like this show more than Sherlock!

Re: Elementary

I think it is a mistake to compare Sherlock and Elementary. I also know that it is unavoidable, for most people  big_smile
I just try and enjoy the entertainment without obsessing over which show is better...
Ps. After a rather long absence from the forum, it is nice to see that it is still alive and kicking  smile

Re: Elementary

Ok you guys convinced me to give the show a second chance. Even tho i diden't like the pilot because they called the guy sherlock and therefore i automaticly compared it to Moffat's Sherlock with a bad result for Elementary.

It would have been probably different if they would have given that guy a diferent name in the first place.

Re: Elementary

In comparison the show will always be inferior to Sherlock (maybe except the episode count) but judged on its own merit it's quite good, suprisingly.

Re: Elementary

I too hated the pilot. The show does improve after awhile, and stops trying to outsmart it's self.

When elementary uses good music like this, it might win me over.

Re: Elementary

I would also like to be able to tell Lucy Liu to put on her blindfold so that the lesson can begin

Re: Elementary

Watching her dress up under the sheets was fantastic.

Yes I know how that sounds.

Re: Elementary

agreed. i could watch her dress up - dress off all day long.

i liked how they used the hurricane in the story.

Re: Elementary

Episode kind of was a let down. I'm glad they didn't drag this out like their doing on The Mentalist, but who it was, was too predictable. I think everyone saw it coming the second it was announced Irene was going to be in the last three episodes.

Re: Elementary

I thought it clever, especially since the oh-so-clever Moriarity will escape and continue to entetain Homes and the audience.
