Don't submit your answer... when you've solved it, you will know.... Tell everyone that you got it, but let them solve it for themselves... it will give people more satisfaction...

#### Re: Math problem

Don't care, tell me.

Sounds perfect for this problem... Preschoolers who know no math at all can solve it...

What kind of answer thread is this?! #### Re: Math problem

If you want the answer, come in to chat and find me, I'll tell you.  I won't tell you how I got the answer, but just the answer itself.

2 - Edited the method, sorry

#### Re: Math problem

So it was quite easy to figure out that the numbers symbolized a different value but it was trickier to figure out why.

0=1
1=0
2=0
3=0
4=1
5=0
6=1
7=0
8=2
9=1

Figuring out why they were worth those values were harder.

One of those is wrong...

#### Re: Math problem

I bet a preschooler.. wouldn't see that, though. If you printed out the numbers on a piece of paper and told a preschooler to complete the last one, do you honestly expect them to solve it in 10 minutes? If you say yes, let's actually test it.

If a preschooler has no notion of symbols for numbers, how will they figure out the pattern? If they do, they will have no advantage. Preschoolers are not very patient with riddles.

Also: Mxy, calling this a "math problem" is like time travel in Lost, it breaks its own internal rules and that is cheating.
