Topic: 2x03 - Save the last one

So...

Coming into this episode I have to admit that I was looking forward more of the thread here than the actual episode.  yikes

But have to admit that this was the best episode this season and the characters didn't act like total morons ALL the time. Sure it still has a problem with the zombies sometimes appearing out of thin air but it wasn't as bad as the 2 previous episodes.

Lets hope the rest of the season can keep up with this quality and not those of the first 2 episodes.

Well yeah the zombie scenes are still kinda sketchy.
but what really bugged me was the out of the blue betrayal.
I thought they would add some real story to the abandonment of good and evil to survival.
Oh and i almost cried when he got operated....not.
Yes i have a colorful and upbeat character pls dont judge me

Re: 2x03 - Save the last one

I thought the episode was totally boring. The thing with Shane and Otis....saw that coming a mile away. It was such a great twist...a real character moment...but it could have been done so much better if they didn't waste so much time on Carl, Rick, Lori, Glenn and the girl (is it Maggie?). Also, if the guy playing Shane didn't suck so much too.

Reading the comics, I think the casting on this show is about 50% awful. Andrew Lincoln is a terrible choice for Rick...like, the worst. Rick in the comics isn't so fragile....he's conflicted emotionally about things...but he's all about doing the right thing...it's automatic to him. The Rick that we get in the show...I think Dale or Daryl make better and more natural leaders.
Shane and Lori are so poorly cast too...I just can't get myself to care for them on the show...they're so flat and unconvincing...
Glenn, Dale, Andrea, Daryl, and even Maggie and Otis...I think those are the best characters they've had on the show...but of course they're the least developed.

I have a feeling that the Shane plot from the comics may hit its climax at the finale of this season...and it would be a perfect cliffhanger for next season...it would develop the characters a lot and resolve some of the pseudo-drama that they've been forcing, and make things more real for everyone. I'm just bummed that that climax isn't likely to come sooner...

I think the chapter after Hershel's farm is going to be awesome if they can manage to portray it right...

The episode wasn't that bad compared to the previous two, but... OMG... the actress playing Lori has one facial expression for being sad/depressed/shocked/basically everything negative. hmm

Shane's a real dick, isn't he? I mean, I know why he did it and all, but still.. What a dick.

Yeah shes exactlly the same as the actress Robin Tunney aka Teresa Lisbon in The Mentalist, she also only has one facial expression.

lol, thinking back to Prison Break...with those two ladies, and a bunch of one dimensional criminals...and Wentworth Miller's flat acting too...it's amazing that show was enjoyable as it was for the first season...I guess it was because season 1 was about the escape...after that, it had bad writing and worse characters...

You do what you gotta do to survive. Unknowing fat guy was the weakest link and the safest escape.

i don't see how they got trapped in that high school to begin with.   how hard would it be to set up something loud at one end of the school so you can easily pick up the meds and supplies that were in the bus.  They're freak'n zombies, they're not exactly smart.  These guys really need to read up on the anarchists cook book, because bombs, fireworks, hell even noisemakers aren't that hard to make.
