Topic: Not sure what episode...

....but i remember an episode where an angel, i think castiel said something along the lines of "i was there when you first stepped out of the water"
is he implying evolution?
as if so, wouldn't the whole God and Satan thing be redundant?
just a thought which suddenly occurred to me.

Re: Not sure what episode...

Why would that make the whole God and Satan thing redundant?

Within the supernatural universe it just means that evolution was part of God's plan.

Re: Not sure what episode...

Exactly. Evolution doesn't necessary mean that God doesn't exist. I think it's a shame every show now adays uses evolution as the explanation how everything came to existance. Even doctor who used that.

But yeah, i know which part you meant. I also thought he was aiming at evolution.

Re: Not sure what episode...

That was a great episode... it was Castiel narrating the whole time and he was having some problems with what to do next.  I can't give you an episode number but it was definitely in the last season.

It could be episode 620 - THE MAN WHO WOULD BE KING, but i'm not entirely sure ;-)

I've been here for a very long time. And I remember many things. I remember being at a shoreline, watching a little gray fish heave itself up on the beach and an older brother saying, "don't step on that fish, Castiel. Big plans for that fish."
