Re: S06E05 - The Rebel Flesh
crazy indeed
Re: S06E05 - The Rebel Flesh
this is one of those situations where all depends on how good the next episode is. The premisse is really good ...
Re: S06E05 - The Rebel Flesh
I agree, it depends what the next episode does. "The Rebel Flesh" was in a tough spot, following "The Doctor' Wife" and being the first half of a two-parter. Even though I saw the twist at the end coming I think it changes things considerably and it'll be very interesting seeing how The Doctor will deal with this ...
Re: S06E05 - The Rebel Flesh
I think after the second part there is the first of the two part that is going to introduce the mid-season break.
Yup, after we finish this two-parter we get the last episode for a few months, because (according to Moffat) the cliffhanger is going to be so cruel he thought it'd be too torturous to end a normal season with it and have us wait for 9+ months ... So he'll have us wait only 4 months
Re: S06E05 - The Rebel Flesh
I wasn't really a fan of the episode maybe the 2nd part will change my mind
Re: S06E05 - The Rebel Flesh
if there are two doctors then WHO GETS THE TARDIS? or maybe they use some sort of timeshare?
anyway, Great episode. scary clones.
in the opening episode of the season the doctor dies and nonone can do much about it without tearing the universe a new one, right? So maybe it wasnt the doctor that was shot but his clone?
who else? he gives up without a fight. as far as i know the doctor never gives up but this time he just did.
So maybe the doctor we saw was a doctor that has no tardis and nothig important to do exept meeting the astronaut in a few 100 years.
Also have to say that this season is shaping up to be among the best ever.
So far it has been scary, funny, unexpected and the effects have never looked better.
god i love this show.
well im just rambeling, hope the next episode is as great as the last two.
Kellogg: Archer broke both Wu’s arms. While shouting “Woo!”
Archer: Happy accident.
Re: S06E05 - The Rebel Flesh
It would be a massive cope out if the Doctor that was killed at the start of the season was the ganger. From the looks of it the ganger might die (sacrifice?) next week anyway, and that would kind of make sense, the ganger is the Doctor who he knows he isn't the Doctor is that makes sense, so to save everyone he may die.
I think the Doctor dying will be prevented by Amy, who then causes a paradox (that's been thrown around my Moffat) which does something, hence the mid-season cliffhanger in a couple of weeks…
Re: S06E05 - The Rebel Flesh
I like the Doctor-ganger because it considerably changes the situation for the Doctor. It is always easy to preach the "right thing to do" when you are not affected. Now there is another Timelord (albeit the same one twice) and as the Doctor argued in the episode he has as much right to live as the original. In addition, it balances the scales considerably - one could argue for our copious experience with the show that whoever side has the Doctor has a huge advantage a will win. Now both sides have the Doctor and each move the original Doctor can make can be predicted and countered by the Doctor-ganger. And yes, I think the Doctors will be enemies, since the trailer made it seem like that pretty obviously.
Re: S06E05 - The Rebel Flesh
I'm left wondering if there will turn out to be any connection between the rebel flesh/Doctor-ganger and the older Doctor in episode 1.
