I think it's safe to say this is the WTF season finale of the year not sure any show topping this moment.

I kind of took it as a somewhat lighthearted show... until now. Brilliant ending. Really dark.

I stopped watching this show a while ago, but ever since last season or even earlier than that, i had the impression that Patrick himself is Red John. Sure there have been scenes where they have "met" but it has never been anyone else there to witness it. Only Patrick, and always in some weird secluded place, to where he never brings any backup. The other person the audience get too see, maybe is not real? Like in that movie

Patrick has had oppurtunity to commit all the crimes we have seen in the show that he blames on Red John. He is also generally quite weird and creepy and does a lot of suspicious things all the time.

Brilliant finale even better (if possible) than Hawaii 5-0.
The FBI guy being the insider was kinda obvious as you couldn't have Rigsby losing Van Pelt to a douche.

Red John, or whoever he was, did still have a gun wrapped in his newspaper, so I'm thinking that Patrick will somehow be able to avoid jail. When he was shot, the gun would have dropped down on the floor, with his fingerprints handily on it, so I think that Patrick's criminal defense won't be all that impossible.

Of course he won't do prison , but i think the Red John storyline is far from over.

With the FBI guy being the insider Van Pelt got played by a guy twice in this show. The writers sure do make her look like someone who finds always the wrong one's.

I was really disappointed with the finale! Red John was the underlying theme of this series! No doubt this was not the real Red John and that there is still further intrigue to come!

I thought it was a great ending. It's going to be a long wait to see what happens in the new season.

Yeah , i can't drop a show that easily also. But i officially dropped Chuck (getting ridiculous) .
As for The Mentalist ,not very popular with topics here.Others shows get 1 topic/episode. And i didn't knew you watched it the first place:)
