or do I have to start the book from the first one

You kinda should start from book one as there are differences and lots of extra information.

You should read from the first book, and you should read slowly. The show is mainly plot driven, what happens next, why did Varys say that, etc. The story of the books is something else. It's about a "happily everafter" that doesn't exist. The main events already happened when A Game of Thrones start. When you read the books you will see this side of it, it's in the details everywhere, forming a picture when you take a step back. The first book is pretty close to the show, but unless you already know about the tower of joy, what happened on the trident, why jaime was in the kings guard to begin with, who is jons mom, and why the white walkers are coming back, you should start from the beginning and read slow, it's all in there, and it gives everything a depth that the show doesn't even attempt to explain. so littlefinger comes off as a 2D not so clever guy because they cut out marillion, tyrion gets white washed because they skipped tysha and changed things because he is popular and the show need popular characters, etc.
tl;dr: read the books twice, one time to satisfy your curiosity what will happen next (and understand why we were all disappointed with this season finale..), and a second time to appreciate the real work Grrm has put into the books when you start to read more between the lines what is really going on.

Re: the Books vs. the Show

So.. in the show Robb was together with Talisa and that's one side of it, but there is something strange about this change I think. Namely, Jayne Westerlings hips. Book!Robbs girlfriend has wide hips according to Cersei, but later Jamie describe her with narrow hips, which could mean the Westerlings made a switch! But why...
We know these two facts, Jeyne took care of Robb, and, Jeynes great-grandmother was Maggy the Frog, known for her love potions among other things. If Jeynes mom, Sybel Spicer, conspired with the Lannisters to break the Frey/Stark alliance, then she might want to keep secret any Stark heirs, and maybe Jaime met Jeynes younger sister instead!
Tl;dr: Jeynes milkshake bring all the wolves to the yard.

Looks like we'll get three sand snakes, but no Arienne hmm Which would mean Trystane is heir of Dorne?
We still don't know about the.. uh, our much missed Cardiolith. Miss M has other projects now and it seems unlikely, sadly.
More alarming is the lack of casting for Aegon and Jon C, what could that mean for TWOW and Varys plan? Dark words...
Also no news about Damphair, Euron, and Victarion. I feel they will keep Victarion but cut the rest, which would mean that maybe there will be no Kingsmoot?

edit: Siddig El Tahir El Fadil El Siddig Abderrahman Mohammed Ahmed Abdel Karim El Mahdi  will play Doran! Perfect I think.

Holy long name... I'll always think of him as Dr. Bashir

Mercy in season 5!?
Maisie is only 17 years old so I guess they'll skip the sexual things of the books, or maybe they can show those things, idk, I'm not a tv lawyer. Anyway, this is going to be neat! But.. they can't cut Cat o' the Canals, can they?
