Homeland is a psychological thriller about a CIA officer Carrie Anderson (Claire Danes) who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of Scott Brody a presumed-dead U.S. soldier (Damian Lewis) was a setup and may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil. Mandy Patinkin also stars as Saul a veteran CIA Division Chief who serves as a mentor to Danes’ character. The series is produced by 24 vet Howard Gordon.

The show just got picked up by Showtime with a 12 episodes order  !! YAY !

And agreed, it looks promising, although I wish it wouldn't go the 24 route. A thriller like this needs suspense and doubt, double-crossings and slow revelations, not action sequences at the beginning and end of every hour smile

I can't wait. I enjoy Damien Lewis' work immensely since Band of Brothers and especially Life and we get Claire Danes and Morena Baccarin. What more can we ask?
