Topic: Tru Calling
Tru Calling
Anyone remember this show? I remember watching it because of Eliza, and that it had potential to be something very good. I enjoyed watching it, though, and was a bit sad when it got canclled. May just have to rewatch it some time, I think.

Re: Tru Calling
One of the many shows that I really liked watching and got cancelled. I think it was a part that really suited Eliza Dushku.

Heh, I couldn't get the show out of my mind so I've just started the download! When looking back, I seem to have forgotten quite a lot of it. My bf says there is an old movie with the same principles, anyone know which one? (no, my bf doesn't know, otherwise I wouldn't have asked )

Well, there's Groundhog Day http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107048/ , of course, a 1993 movie where one of the characters repeats the same day over and over again, but there's also "Day Break", an (unfortunately) cancelled tv show, starring Taye Diggs.. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0801425/

There was also the tv-show "Early Edition" in which a guy received the newspaper one day earlier at his doorstep and he had 24 hours to set things right. It lasted 4 seasons

Re: Tru Calling
weird, i just finished watching it last week. i thought it was good, not every episode was the same. that had good (although predictable) twists in it. should have been cancelled the way it was

That's right! I completely forgot about that.. There's also a 2004 movie, with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, called "50 first days". http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0343660/ They're not actually repeating the same day, it's mostly the idea of the same day being repeated for the sake of a girl with amnesia or something..
