This is definitely NOT the final season . I dare to say that neither the 7th season will NOT be the last .

Dono it just kinda feels like it is or atleast should be.
I hope they atleast Introduce the Mother in the season finale, the show doesnt have to stop when we find the mother it can carry on till she gets preganant or married, preferably the first.

nope, it's still entertaining after 6 years. Maybe it's not laugh out funny all the time but atleast they still have good ideas.
it's like with the simpsons, it's not always good but the characters are likeable and the show so familiar that you "feel at home" watching it

What's about this mother obsession. That show is not about finding out who the mother is. It's about 5 friends having a good time in New York. This show could go on for 10 more seasons...

Well, in the last ep with the airport scene 10 years in the future, Ted mentions that he and the Mrs. already have 2 kids...soooo, I guess if a season doesn't = a year, then it could go on for a long time, but given the season/year connection, we'd know who the mother is in less than 8.5 seasons...and then, it probably could go on...like a season of 24 could continue....only with less excitement, because it's post-climactic stuff really.
