Topic: Going Downhill?
I would like to get other peoples opinion, since we have had a season break, on the new episodes. I only ask because I'm not sure if I'm finding it as funny as I used to, and questioning whether I will be watching the rest of the series. Maybe I have been spoilt by the new Family Guy (which, believe me, is a hard thing to say) or the new Scrubs which I'm finding significantly funnier than MNiE. But the jokes just don't seem to make me laugh out-loud in quite the same way. Let me know your opinions, if it is your favourite show, it's your chance to defend it!

I don't find MNIE that funny but it is still pleasant to watch, same category is the simpsons for me, i rarely laugh but still enjoy watching it

Yes, I guess its funny in a more subtle way, you are right just like The Simpsons but I only get that feeling when I'm watching a repeat, not a new episode. Good moments are whenDarnell shows up, and Jaime Pressly is just... oooo... but I think season 2 pails in comparison to season 1 so far.

I still watch it, hoping for it to get better. The first season was great. The second so far has been pretty disappointing to me. Seems like the writers already told everything they had to say...

I too am waiting for season two to become as fun as season one. Do you remember Earls "girlfriend" from the episode with the wasps? (At the university) Was he not supposed to contact her again? I think it is time for him to do that!

the second season aint so bad.In fact I think it's awesome compared to the first. Earl will even be featured at TV Guide Magazine this month so I'm looking forward to it as well.

Maybe it's gotten better since I last watched it, but I gave up on season 2, and over here its been put on a very obscure slot, so it's obviously not very popular. Maybe I'll watch the next episode and see how it goes.

The show is still cool although I liked season 1 more. You can get updated by grabbing an issue of TV Guide Mag (apr 30 edition) coz they'll be featuring "My Name is Earl".

Is it just me, or was the latest episode (2 21) really, really funny? I thought it was up there with some of the best episodes of the first season. Or is it just because I had a really good day at work, and now I´m off for four days, and I´ve had a couple of beers?

Yes, that's just the problem. It HAS been funny, but isn't now;-)
Seems like it was dumbed down a lot after season one.

I think it's still funny, and this season has had some of the best episodes. Like the "My name is... Well, you can call me Crabman" one... and the guy with all the online friends one... and the COPS one... Only thing that bothers me is that Earl does not cross off any items of the list anymore, he just seems to be adding new ones on it all the time..

Maybe it's just me, but I found the cops episode almost as moronic as the real cops series. My guess is, the show changes, it finds a new audience.

Maybe so. But I've been watching it since the beginning, and I still enjoy it. Maybe it's not as even as before? Like, before, every episode was fun to watch, now it's either very fun, or just enjoyable to watch. I'm not sure. But I do still enjoy it, and I'm not going to stop watching it.

Well there you go!! He did contact his old girlfriend! (See my previous post). Too bad she was married.
But this episode (23) was really good, and clearly a cliffhanger, since this must be the last episode of this season.

Well not really a cliffhanger, it's more a break - lets hope it won't last for two years  But the ep was fun though

While the last ep was pretty funny, It seems that him being jailed was kinda against the whole Karma thing.... he did a good thing and ended up in jail, while Joy got off free!! She's hot as hell but I cant wait for Karma to give her a big old smack in the chops Maybe I'm just thinking too much about it... either way, personally I didnt really like the way they finished it off. And how the hell is Randy going to get by???

its still great to watch. the list seems to be getting bigger and karma seems to be getting more complicated. crabman is funniest. randy seems to be getting dopier. its not as funny as it was wen it started. we are seeing more into the characters, where as before it was funny just seeing what they got up to in the past. now the show has a goody goody feel about it, not a bad event turns into a stroke of luck outcome. but stil good to watch
