Re: TV Shows Ratings
Starz’ Spartacus: Gods of the Arena premiered to 1.097 million on Friday at 10pm on Starz. The 11p encore drew another 753,000 viewers. Still waiting to see how much the second part did.

Depends on the cable. For a premium cable station like Starz, I believe it is.

Monday Primetime Ratings: ABC topped the adults 18-49 ratings on Monday night, while CBS repeats kept it a competitive second place. NBC’s Chuck dropped to a season low tieing 1.7 adults 18-49 rating, while The Cape fell to a series low 1.5 rating on Monday night. Good news for NBC at 10pm though, as Harry’s Law maintained its 2.1 rating from last week. Fox’s Human Target scored a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating, up 24% from its last new non-Friday episode. The season (series?) finale of Fox’s Lie To Me drew a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating, down 12% from last week’s surprising 2.5 rating. Leading ABC’s 18-49 win on the night, The Bachelor’s 3.2 adults 18-49 rating was a season high and up 10% vs. last week. Both the CW’s 90210 and Gossip Girl drew 0.8 adults 18-49 ratings, each down 11% from last week. 90210 scored a 1.4 rating in the CW target women 18-34 ratings, down 18% vs. last week, while Gossip Girl fell 11% to a 1.7 women 18-34 rating.
Friday Cable Ratings: Gold Rush: Alaska topped Friday night cable with a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating, that was up two tenths from last week, but SpongeBob was close behind with two episodes drawing 1.2 ratings. Spartacus: Gods of the Arena second episode scored a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week, and its average viewership up very slightly. ▼Spoiler Flying Wild Alaska (DISC) - 2.174 million viewers - 1.3/2 HH - 0.7/2 A18-49 Gold Rush: Alaska (DISC, 10pm) - 3.434 million viewers - 2.1/4 HH - 1.3/4 A18-49 Winter X Games (ESPN, 7pm, 212 minutes) - 1.250 million viewers - 0.7/1 HH - 0.6/2 A18-49 NBA Game (ESPN, 10:32pm, 163 minutes) - 1.999 million viewers - 1.2/3 HH - 1.0/4 A18-49 Boxing (ESPN2, 10:01pm, 119 minutes) - 0.734 million viewers - 0.4/1 HH - 0.2/1 A18-49 The Ricky Gervais Show (HBO, 9pm, 24 minutes) - 0.197 million viewers - 0.1/0 HH - 0.1/0 A18-49 Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO, 10:01pm, 56 minutes) - 1.068 million viewers - 0.7/1 HH - 0.3/1 A18-49 SpongeBob SquarePants (NICK, 8pm) - 6.004 million viewers - 3.3/6 HH - 1.2/4 A18-49 - 3.2/14 T12-17 - 7.9/27 K2-11 SpongeBob SquarePants (NICK, 8:30pm) - 6.054 million viewers - 3.2/6 HH - 1.2/4 A18-49 Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (10pm, 55 minutes) - 1.136 million viewers - N/A HH (didn’t get STARZ in usual report, secondary didn’t have HH) - 0.5/1 A18-49 WWE Smackdown (SYFY, 8pm, 120 minutes) - 3.024 million viewers - 1.7/3 HH - 0.9/3 A18-49 Say Yes to the Dress (TLC, 9pm) - 1.613 million viewers - 1.2/2 HH - 0.6/2 A18-49 Star Wars: The Clone Wars (TOON) - 1.742 million viewers - 1.1/2 HH - 0.5/2 A18-49 - 1.4/6 T12-17 - 1.6/5 K2-11

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Human Target seems to be hurting Chuck really bad. Not that I still matter whether Chuck will see the next season or not. The Cape on the other hand is on its way to getting pulled off the air. Overall NBC can't be happy, because even Harry's Law achieved only a small victory over H5-0 and Castle repeats which held up really well.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Tuesday Primetime Ratings: NCIS scored a season high for adults 18-49 and a series high for average viewership (22.7 million) to lead CBS over the competition Tuesday night in the 18-49 ratings and avg. viewership. CBS saw gains across the board, NCIS scored a 4.6 adults 18-49 rating (highest since Oct 2009), a season high, up 12% from its last new episode on (1/18/11), and NCIS:LA was up 15% to a 3.8 rating. The Good Wife was up 5% to a 2.2 rating. Where are the retentionistas calling for The Good Wife’s ouster? Following a No Ordinary Family repeat, ABC’s V hit a series low 1.7 adults 18-49 rating, down 15% vs. 1/18/11. Heading towards the boneyard, Detroit 1-8-7 got a dead cat bounce, up 5% from its season low on 1/18/11 to a 1.2 rating. NBC’s The Biggest Loser drew a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating, up 3% vs. last week’s hour long pre-SOTU episode, and Parenthood rose 5% vs. 1/18/11 to a 2.2 rating. The CW’s One Tree Hill was up 23% vs. last week in the CW target women 18-34 ratings to a season high 2.3 rating, while Hellcats 1.4 rating for women 18-34 was down a tenth from last week. The season finale of Fox’s Million Dollar Money Drop scored a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating, down 5% from its last Tuesday episode (1/18/11). Not a bad run for a reality show, I’d guess it returns.
Sunday Cable Ratings: Bravo’s Real Housewives of Atlanta season finale was up 0.7 adults 18-49 rating points from last week to a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating and scored a series high 4.381 million viewers. The second episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York was up two tenths to a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. Holly’s World second episode was up an impressive 0.3 points to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. The Celebration of Gospel did nicely for BET with a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating. The SAG Awards simulcast combined for a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. ▼Spoiler Celebration of Gospel (BET, 8pm, 120 minutes) - 2.754 million viewers - 1.6/2 HH - 0.9/2 A18-49 Real Housewives of Atlanta (BRAVO, 10pm, 90 minutes) - 4.381 million viewers - 2.8/5 HH - 2.4/7 A18-49 Good Luck Charlie (8pm, DISN) - 3.745 million viewers - 2.4/4 HH - 0.6/1 A18-49 - 3.1/10 T12-17 - 4.8/15 K2-11 Bridalplasty (E!) - 1.259 million viewers - 0.9/1 HH - 0.7/2 A18-49 - 1.6/4 W18-34 Kourtney & Kim Take New York (E!, 10pm) - 3.170 million viewers - 2.0/3 HH - 1.8/5 A18-49 - 4.1/11 W18-34 Holly’s World (E!, 10:30pm) - 2.417 million viewers - 1.6/3 HH - 1.4/4 A18-49 - 3.3/9 W18-34 Worst Cooks in America (FOOD) - 2.381 million viewers - 1.4/2 HH - 1.1/3 A18-49 Iron Chef America (FOOD) - 1.776 million viewers - 1.1/2 HH - 0.8/2 A18-49 Big Love (HBO, 9:02pm, 57 minutes) - 1.033 million viewers - 0.6/1 HH - 0.4/1 A18-49 Ax Men (HIST, 9pm) - 2.889 million viewers - 1.7/3 HH - 1.3/3 A18-49 Californication (SHO, 9pm, 28 minutes) - 0.645 million viewers - 0.4/1 HH - 0.3/1 A18-49 Episodes (SHO, 9:30pm, 29 minutes) - 0.558 million viewers - 0.3/1 HH - 0.3/1 A18-49 Shameless (SHO, 10pm, 46 minutes) - 1.109 million viewers - 0.6/1 HH - 0.6/1 A18-49 SAG Awards (TBS, 8pm, 122 minutes) - 2.185 million viewers - 1.4/2 HH - 0.7/2 A18-49 Las Vegas Jailhouse (TRU, 10pm) - 1.394 million viewers - 0.9/1 HH - 0.6/1 A18-49 Lottery Changed My Life (TLC, 8pm) - 1.377 million viewers - 0.9/1 HH - 0.5/1 A18-49 The Kennedys’ Home Movies (TLC, 9pm, 120 minutes) - 1.442 million viewers - 1.0/2 HH - 0.5/1 A18-49 SAG Awards (TNT, 8pm, 122 minutes) - 2.820 million viewers - 1.9/3 HH - 0.9/2 A18-49 Basketball Wives (VH1, 8pm) - 1.101 million viewers - 0.7/1 HH - 0.6/2 A18-49 What Chilli Wants (VH1) - 0.952 million viewers - 0.6/1 HH - 0.5/1 A18-49 Brandy & Ray J (VH1) - 0.807 million viewers - 0.5/1 HH - 0.5/1 A18-49 Monday Cable Ratings: Pawn Stars kept rising (each episode up 0.2 vs. last week) and easily led all cable with with a 2.8 and 3.0 adults 18-49 ratings for its respective episodes. Those are some really good numbers for One Tree Hill. Glee and NOF probably helped a little, but still... CW can be happy.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Wednesday Primetime Ratings: Fox easily won the night as American Idol slipped only fractionally vs. last Wednesday night. American Idol’s 8.9 adults 18-49 rating was down just 3% vs. last Wednesday’s 2 hour episode (but up 3% vs. Wednesday’s 8pm hour alone), and just 2% below the 9.1 adults 18-49 rating for the third Tuesday airing last season. For the PR minded, Idol’s average viewership of 24.9 million increased 2% vs. the third Tuesday last season. Human Target got a little ratings bump from Idol, increasing 24% from its Monday rating this week to a season high 2.6 rating. On NBC, Minute To Win It was up a whopping 71% vs. last week, to a series high tieing 2.4 adults 18-49 rating. Law & Order: SVU’s 2.9 adults 18-49 rating was up 26% vs. its last new episode and 16% over it’s Fall new episode average. ABC’s Cougar Town’s 2.7 adults 18-49 rating was up 35% from last Wednesday’s season low. (where are the retentionistas today?) While Off The Map held at its series low at 1.8 rating. No good news for CBS, as Live To Dance held at a series low 1.0 adults 18-49 rating, and Blue Bloods fell 20% to just a 1.6 rating, a series low.
Tuesday Cable Ratings BET’s’ The Game was up by a tenth of a ratings point to a cable leading 2.4 adults 18-49 rating on Tuesday night. It also lead everything on broadcast at 10pm among adults 18-49. MTV’s Teen Mom 2 fell 0.2 points to a still strong 2.1 adults 18-49 rating. Tosh.0 was down two tenths to a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. Southland was down two tenths from last week to a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating. White Collar was steady vs. last week with a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating. Lights Out continued steady in its fourth episode, holding on to a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 864,000 viewers. And a 3.0 demo, but let's remember, that it was pre-empted by American Idol. But I do believe, that this works in HT's favor.

Not 3.0. 3.0 was for 9pm and 2.3 for 9:30pm so the average was 2.6. Still a good result but I can recall other FOX shows doing better with American Idol as a lead-in. I wonder by the way how people in America follow this, becuase in the last few weeks HT was shown on three different days of the week. ritman wrote:YAY V is beating Glee
What Orlando said. Glee was a re-run and it was fighting in a much more competitive timeslot (NCIS).

Re: TV Shows Ratings
Thursday Primetime Ratings: The first night of the February sweeps period Fox cruised to an easy win for adults 18-49, but under full broadcast competition most shows were down in the ratings. American Idol’s 7.5 adults 18-49 rating was down just 3% vs. last Thursday, but those results continue to lag well behind last season’s comparable Wednesday outings, as it was 21% behind last season’s third Wednesday’s 9.5 rating. At 9pm, Bones‘ 3.3 rating was down 15% from last Thursday’s season high. On CBS, The Big Bang Theory’s 4.3 adults 18-49 rating was up a tenth from its last new episode two weeks ago, while $#*! My Dad Says drew a 2.9 rating, up 22% from last week (when it followed a BBT repeat). At 9pm CSI scored a 3.0 rating, down a tenth vs. its last new episode two weeks ago (no Grissom cameo boost), and The Mentalist’s 2.8 rating was even with its last new episode. ABC’s Wipeout gained a tenth of a point (4%) vs. last week to a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating. Grey’s Anatomy with its first new episode in three weeks drew a 4.2 rating down just a tenth (2%) vs. its last new episode. After an even longer layoff, Private Practice’s hit a season low 2.6 adults 18-49 rating which was also down a tenth (4%) of a point vs. its last original episode. Under full CBS & ABC competition, NBC’s line up was pushed down (nearly) across the board. Community’s 2.0 adults 18-49 rating was down 9% vs. last week, and Perfect Couples fell to a series low 1.4 rating, down 18% from last week. The Office’s 3.7 rating was down 7% vs. last week, and Park’s and Recreation drew a 2.5 rating, down 17% vs. last week. At 10 pm, 30 Rock’s 2.4 adults 18-49 rating was steady, the only NBC show to hold last week’s rating. Outsourced was down a tenth of a point (5%) vs. last week to a 1.8 rating, tieing its season low. On the CW, The Vampire Diaries 1.4 adults 18-49 rating slipped 12% vs. last week (although it was up 4% in the women 18-34 demo that CW targets to a 2.4 rating), and Nikita’s 0.9 adults 18-49 rating was down 18% vs. last week, and it was down 23% in the women 18-34 ratings to a 1.0 rating.

Re: TV Shows Ratings
NBC comedies lost a lot of viewers, but aside from Perfect Couples they're still holding very good in 18-49 ratings. I guess there's not much to worry about, although I do hope that renewing Community for season 3 (and 4 and 5) will be an easy decision for them.

Because it's on CW network. Look at Vampire Diaries for comparison... it's their most watched show. Besides Nikita doesn't fit the profile of CW's target audience which is young women (that's one of the reasons they've introduced two male characters after the winter break).

Re: TV Shows Ratings
1.6 for Fringe. Hm. FOX is probably still pleased and I'm guessing that it'll remain happy until it drops to 1.1-1.2. Too early to tell IMO if Fringe has a chance to get renewed (even for 13 episodes) or not. PS. Shame on Americans for watching stupid Super Bowl commericals instead of Fringe or SN.
