Nice ! Now I hope they don't go into bland-mode and stop progressing the show. It should evolve into something more than a collection of cheap shots and racist- or gay-jokes. We need more antics from them and some more cool stuff from Penny.

Penny was an add-on from a different sitcom concept. She had been originally envisioned as a more cynical, hard drinker, street-wise girl who worked at a makeup saloon. Her name was supposed to be Katie and should have been played by Amanda Walsh.
IMO TBBT with Kaley is way better that it would have been with Amanda !

Yeah i did . And i didn't liked the idea of a Sheldon being into girls(like Harold) either . It so much better as it is now

Indeed - the original pilot wasn't that good. The Penny character on the other side is just great work!

Well, Kaley doesn't really do it for me either - I can see she's attractive, I just don't salivate over her as I do over some other characters (Sarah Shahi's Detective Reese in Life or Stana Katic's Beckett on Castle) and agree that any regular blonde could play her part.
Having said that I still can't believe the writers thought that Leonard and Penny apart were funnier than Leonard and Penny together

Most sitcoms can be dropped at any time. It's not like Lost or Revenge when you've invested some time in it and dropping it too soon will forbid you from finding out how it all ended.

I just like to stick with a show if the end is near, regardless of the genre. Since this is not the case, I'm gonna go the same like I did with HIMYM all those years ago.
