Probably not. There would be no sense in making a different version.

Wow, it was awesome ! A little less action than I'd hoped, but I understand why they didn't overdo it with action. It feels like a quality series, I'm definitely following this !

Re: 1x01 - Days Gone Bye
Well, I liked it, but not loved it. Main character seems to lack some acting skill and I'm afraid how he'll do dramatic scenes later in the series. I also didn't like the fact that they've spoiled Lori-Shane relations so early (if I remember correctly it was hinted much later in the comics). Thankfully all the scenes from the comic were done great and some of the new ones weren't out of place. Show should be good as long as it will stick to telling a proper story rather than having Rick perform zombie headshots every few minutes. I'll be even happier if things slow down a little.

From a person who likes zombies and never saw the comic book: OH MY GOD JESUS FUCKING CHRIST ON A CHEESE SANDWICH, THIS IS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD. Also: Metascore 85 out of 100 Universal acclaim - based on 25 Critics http://www.metacritic.com/tv/the-walking-dead/season-1 imdb 9.5/10 , 987 votes http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1520211/ And some reviews: http://www.beyondhollywood.com/tv-revie … -gone-bye/ http://www.dreadcentral.com/reviews/walking-dead-tv http://www.slantmagazine.com/tv/review/ … on-one/217 Any comments? Re: 1x01 - Days Gone Bye
By the way, if someone wants to slam it "The beginning is from 28 days later, that's so cheap": It was claimed by Robert Kirkman in the letters portion of the comic book that he had the idea of a character waking up from a coma and finding the world overrun by zombies back in late 90's and early 2000. 28 Days Later debuted in cinemas in 2002 (UK) and in June 2003 (US), while The Walking Dead issue #1 was released in Oct 2003. Kirkman knew the comparisons would be made, but decided to keep his opening because in the long run, it was only one scene. It should be noted that the "28 Days Later" opening echoes the opening of "The Day of the Triffids" (1962), in which Howard Keel's eyes are bandaged while he recovers from an eye operation. When he awakes in the hospital the next day, almost everyone in the world has gone blind as the result of watching a fantastic meteor shower that his operation prevented him from seeing.

Yes it was, but then AMC denied that it got a 2nd season before even starting airing the first one. Or have they changed their minds again? Read here: http://tvbythenumbers.com/2010/09/01/re … eres/61827

Best line is in the end of the episode: `Hey, dumbass. Yeah, you in the tank.`

Re: 1x01 - Days Gone Bye
Yeah - well - I kinda predicted that Just to be clear - this show is on my watchlist but not for long if it doesn't improve in the next episodes. I've seen so many zombie movies over the year and this is simply nothing new or done differently. If the rest is average survival drama I'm off.
