Yep, 'Fuck' is about right. Just when it seemed to be getting better too.
I'm sick of watching shows only to have them cancelled part way through the first season.

But I'm not surprised. It was obvious that the creators of the show couldn't find their feet with this show. They decided to air the remaining episodes in 2011? Why?

come on.... now one would give a shit if it wheren`t the prequelshow of bsg
it`s a shame what they did with the potential of bsg.... it`s an shame that they realy thought they would get new viewers with that crappy storylines
the hole show is/was like they would try to convert G.I. Joe to a girls toy

This is indeed crap. I guess they wanted too much from this series. The biggest mistake was to go on so slow after he long break! A three episode introduction is not what an audience is willing to accept theses days (just look at the forum posts here) 
If they started 1.5 as 1.0 ended the show whould live on.

Well it is SyFy's fault, you don't take off a show with such a storyline for so many months. Eureka, sure, that show is light as a feather. Also, this is the first time for me to see, that a cable show would cancel a series before the season finale and pulling it off schedule.

it did answer a couple of questions tho. why did the cylons "project" and why they beleaved in "one true god"

OMG, the show was just picking up and agreed on the long break killing the show. I couldnt even remeber half teh crap that went down in the first half.

The concept was great.
How the cylons came to be. The war, and so on. but they fucked it up HARD. Yeah there some who like the show. but really most people who like the show would hate it if they didnt knew BSG. That was the problem. The hardcore fans where even not happy, they like it because its the franchise but deep in they know its bollocks.
so for the future mr and mrs Sci Fi director/producer.
Make it snappy!
Find a clear direction!
Faster developing!
Dont be overly Artsy, no one likes that. Instead make some artsy eps.
Go back to the 24 or so ep a season format, that keeps a series alive (stargate, startrek, farscape and so on)
Well caprica rest in peace, i liked u. but u where like the friend that become a meth addict. I still come for the great time we had, but ultimatly left.
i guess thats the end of the BSG franchise i suppose...thats sad.

i'm a huge bsg fan. been one from the early 80's. and i liked the show. the mood was brilliant, the world of caprica was intriguing, the drama was real drama (people losing their families and such and such).
and i'm not so sure the 24 ep season is the way to go. quantity does not mean quality. and for the artsy part - caprica never was that artsy 
art is something you don't need to understand. caprica was the beginning of a saga - to understand the end you need to know the beginning...
i like shows that make you think, use your brain a bit. i hate those show where you turn off you mind and watch the screen like zombie waiting for exploding brains, and everything starts again next week like nothing happened...
Caprica did that for me. it made me think: HOW IN THE HELL IS THIS GOING DEVELOP INTO A WAR WITH THE MACHINE!!!
loved it. every minute of it. the actors were brilliant, the music/sounds was just awsome, decently enough directed - but if i'm not going to get a conclusion, i'm not watching a second more
(hope they make that blood & chrome)

No suprise. Sci-fi gets cancelled! Some good actors and scenes but overall they have had problem steering the story in the correct direction.

heh, I can't count the shows that I've been watching that got canceled 
But I'm not surprised about this one, it's been mostly crappy with few good eps on the way. I only watched it because it was related to BSG. Well, ain't gonna miss it.

I just want to say that although It wasn't a good show in my opinion (and I really waited for it) , it had tons of potential , if it weren't for that long break and the slow pace of the plot - it could have been a hit series.
IMO , they (the creators) made a mistake when trying to "sell" the plot to other viewers that aren't Sci Fi lovers but more drama fans and failed in both cases - it's a crappy sci fi show and a crappy drama show.
Again IMO , they should have made it more sci fi (as was BSG and not disappoint the BSG fans ) and give it a bit more drama to attract other viewers.

Just FYI:
The show debuted in January of 2010 and was slated for a 13 episode season. With five unaired episodes remaing, Syfy will delay broadcast until an unnannounced date in early 2011.
"We appreciate all the support that fans have shown for 'Caprica' and are very proud of the producers, cast, writers and the rest of the amazing team that has been committed to this fine series," said Mark Stern, Executive Vice President of Original Programming, Syfy and Co-Head of Content for Universal Cable Productions. "Unfortunately, despite its obvious quality, 'Caprica' has not been able to build the audience necessary to justify a second season."
Despite the series' cancellation, Syfy will still move forward with the recently announced "Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome," which is also planned as a prequel to the network's first series, set during the 10th year of the Cylon war.
