Re: Rewatch

ask a question and i'll try to answer it...

and i hope ya'll realize that most of hose questions are pointless. like asking what Jack ate for breakfest when he was 8.

and some of those questions actually has the answer in the question. example: Why did the monster kill the pilot? becouse it's a monster! If it were a bunny it propably would have eaten a dharma carrot and hopped along it's merry way...

Re: Rewatch

Would it also be white with a logo printed on it ?

I'd love to rewatch the show, but it'll be for next year or the year after.

well the sharks that surrounded the island had the dharma logo, so i suspect the bunny has to have one also - and the bears...

or do you mean the actual carrot. well wild carrots are kinda white...

Re: Rewatch

Carrots, bunnies, bears,... They all should be white with a Dharma logo. Would be funny though:

DHARMA
Bunny, Male

Re: Rewatch

I think the thing about LOST that people don't get is that the whole point of the show was to put you in the place of the survivors. They didn't know everything that was going on...why should we?

As for why did the monster kill the pilot?

1.Its a monster
2.The monster was hungry or angry
3.The pilot had done his part ie: flew the survivors to the island and wasn't needed anymore maybe
4.Why not

The entertaining thing in the show wasn't in answering questions, it was in asking them and letting people discuss and theorize, every week my friends and I would discuss theories and developments...it was so much fun

How could you watch the show for 6 years and not realize that was what it was about?

Very little info was spoon fed in LOST...thats what made it so good, you had to think!

Most of the questions in the video are answered if you think for yourself...actually some of them were directly answered in season 6

5. It was supposed to be Jack that got killed but because you can't kill the star of the show you'll have to choose Matt Parkman...

I loved the oceanicair webpage smile

We watched the first season as a group and discussed. Maybe some illegal stimula was involved also but it was epic! wink

well, i used to be a regular at a few lost forums in the beginning, it was great fun to discuss theories and speculate.
but, what became apparent around season 3 or 4 was that it was useless discussing the big picture, since there was no big picture. when it started to move forward by asking more and more questions without direction, the forums died a little. again, i would like to point out a few quotes from interviews:

to me this indicates that LOST began as one thing and ended as something else. and along the way, they lost the aspects of the show that i liked.

it did have a bigger picture: the survival of mankind... or did you miss that? they kept repeating it in the last season.... if the MiB got off the island, everyone will die. everyone actually meant everyone, not just the people on the island, but all the 7 billion people living on planet earth. can you have a bigger pisture than that?

it's wasn't purgatory, and it wasn't magic...

Thank you for formulating it for us, this is what it's about and I strongly agree this was more then just telling a good story.

but that was just the LAST season, when they needed an ending. it was not the big picture in the other seasons, therefore it was not the big picture.

I'm not sure you understand what they mean when they say "the big picture" cause knowing what the island is and why it is important was the whole focus of the show...turns out it was important cause protecting the "light" was protecting everyone in the world....you cant really get a better example of "the big picture".

yes it was. that's why they crashed there u idiot smile

the monster was there in the first season!!!! actually it was there in the pilot episode. and that's what the numbers were all about!!! weren't you paying attention?

the more i think about it, your comment makes less and less sense... if we were talking 'bout bsg for example, you would have just stated that they didn't start to look for earth until the last half of season 4...

Re: Rewatch

nivalis wrote:

to bring this into the world of LOST, i did not get how each season was a part of the big picture, a major part of the show was about the dharma initiative and according to the magic cave light explanation that was really a bit unnecessary.

I don't know what to say Niv, if you don't get it then i guess you don't get it.

The Dharma Initiative were investigating the properties of the island which were caused by the light, they just didn't know even after all that time that it was the light that caused the properties...thats a pretty major part of the story...how is that not part of the big picture?
